So longest and most caution of all devovled nations has been set out at least May before domestic holidays and no chance of summer holiday abroad and tier systems again. Does anyone think meets be possible before Xmas in Scotland whilst rest of UK will have more freedom I'm confused as heck |

Yeh....I think its way too cautious. A danger of completely killing the economy and huge spike in mental health issues.
Its a total cluster fuck |

It's was 94 pages of nothingness. Designed to confuse.
It wasn't a route map. It was another demonstration of political gameplay.
No real concern over the devistston a year of lockdown has caused.
Is it any wonder more people are beginning to do their own thing?
Her constant vaccine chat is also inaccurate. I know many people who were in priority group two who have been told they can't get appointments, yet she claims to be on track.
Not often I agree with a Tory but Ruth Davidson asked the question we were all thinking.. Wtf? (although she did say it far more eloquently) |

I agree. To think she is still pushing the independence shit during a pandemic is disgraceful. Focus should be on getting education up and running fully, and trying to fix the economy. Years to fix this mess. |

Isn't that exactly what she is trying to do?
Yeah, it's not the best of news to not have definite dates for when life can get back to normal.
But if nothing else, surely we've all learned by now that we're not exactly in a situation where any guarantees of normality can be made |

I'd rather be cautious now & not have to go backwards at a later date. Already there appears to be lots of people getting way ahead of themselves after BJ's bumbling announcement yesterday which is likely to lead to disaster |

Agree with this - I'd prefer to err on the side of caution and make sure this is the last lockdown we have to have. |

Spot on. Well said. Take it slow and cautious and get out of it altogether this time. Either that or undo all the good work we've done already.

I used to take parake of the odd dangerous sport or three, landed in hospital for the odd multiple fracture as it happens. My attitude has always been " life without risk....isn't life"
I'm far more risk averse now however as I've got older.
We all have to continue to take precautions and be as careful as we can, BUT this "life" that isn't life just can't continue as there's loads of us nearing a breaking point. |

Wonder how Fab will handle this. Only Scotland not allowed to meet and everyone else gets the green light to start partying?
I'm all for cautious though. No more bogus dates of when we can go out and see our friends and stuff to then be squashed because covid's out of control again x |

I’ll be making the most of my railcard this year and be heading to Newcastle, Liverpool even Blackpool for over nighters and days away.
If she doesn’t want me to spend my hard earned that I’ve accumulated by working as a key worker since day 1 of the first lockdown in pubs and venues in my hometown then that’s fine, I’ll spend it elsewhere.

i don’t really like her, i am dying to get out again and i will be gutted if we are still locked up while the rest of the uk are back to normal
however i do wonder come September if the threads will be saying look how wrong she got it or look how wrong he did ... with such different approaches, they can’t both be right and with so many moving parts only a crystal ball would tell us for sure just now
either way there will be alot of unhappy people in one country when we have the benefit of hindsight |

No matter what things look like come September the correct decision is being taken by England. We can’t keep on surviving like this. People need to live and live with this virus as it not going to go away.
Sturgeon seems hell bent on this elimination strategy which is nonsensical as it’s not practical.
The only people who are backing these lockdowns must be the ones on furlough who’ve been getting paid good money for hee-haw for what will be over a year when this is over. |

I think being cautious is going to help prevent the stupid scenes that we saw when everyone poured onto beaches when the sun came out at last years bank hols.
Sunny easter weekend would set us back again.
This way with another few weeks of vacs and hospital reductions can only be a good thing |

People will go to the beach regardless. Those glorious scenes on Bournemouth beach were during the height of lockdown 1.0 so your point doesn’t really make much sense.

Another snp lie in parliament from compulsive liar Humza when the quarantine was brought in for travel corridors. They received details of quarantined travellers from the home office and not a single traveller was checked up on despite Humza misleading parliament saying they were.
Borders may not be a devolved matter but each administration was given the powers to implement their own rules around quarantine and the SNP led assembly didn’t bother their bahookie until they were called out. |

I never expected Nicola to be as overly optimistic with her roadmap as Boris but to get nothing. Was completely pointless.
We will still be 9n lockdown until 29th April at Nicola's whim as she never gave any data indications where we come out of lockdown.
Is it new cases to be under 100 & R no & under 1 say
So come 29th April new cases are 75 & R no 0.8
But Nicola says I'm extending lockdown to end of May because I never gave any indicator Data
But then she won't do that
My crystal ball however says it will be regular good news stories of restrictions being lifted early with a major good news story on 28th April
And wonder why? Oh I forgot there's a Scottish Parliament election on the 5th May & we all need to free to get out and vote that day don't we. |

Westminster has announced English Council elections will go ahead on 6 May. Welsh Senedd election on 6 May.
Loads of countries held elections during pandemic.
The yoons are clutching at straws from a landslide SNP victory

I agree with caution but there is going to be a risk for ever more with Covid as it is going the be like the flu and be around for all time in different variants.
You can't keep kids off schools, families apart or the economy shut for ever. There has to be an element of risk.
Sturgeon is just choosing to be different. The fact that she left a 4 nations meeting yesterday to do prearranged interviews about the Salmond enquiry shows where her priorities actually lie and it is not with the people of Scotland.
Don't get me started on her wanting Indyref2 in the middle of a pandemic and the long recovery that will require. |

Ruth Davidson was absolutely bang on today. This wasn't a roadmap out of lockdown, it was a holding document for the next 8 weeks. We learnt absolutely nothing today other than we will still effectively be in lockdown in tier 3 when lockdown ends. Why 8 weeks before things start to ease though? Where is the data to back that up? I suggest the only data she has to keep this going another 8 weeks is the fact there is an election in 9 weeks and she's trying to manipulate voters into be grateful for the little freedom they'll have been granted a week before.
I really don't know why so many blindly follow this Pied Piper. Someone who cut short a 4 nation meeting to get her face on TV yet again. She is continuing to manipulate this situation for her own gain and she needs stopped. She will be the ruin of Scotland, not the bearer of milk and honey that too many bravehearts believe. |

i really don’t think a move to tier 3 will be enough to sway people to vote when they will be watching their english counterparts sat in beer gardens and 2 weeks away from real pubs and being in each others homes
if anything it might be fear that if cases go up from now til before the election and lockdown easing is to blame there wont be enough time to claw it back before the vote - probably thinks opening up risks losing votes but staying locked down probably wont |

She will be the ruin of Scotland, not the bearer of milk and honey that too many bravehearts believe.
i really don’t think a move to tier 3 will be enough to sway people to vote when they will be watching their english counterparts sat in beer gardens and 2 weeks away from real pubs and being in each others homes
if anything it might be fear that if cases go up from now til before the election and lockdown easing is to blame there wont be enough time to claw it back before the vote - probably thinks opening up risks losing votes but staying locked down probably wont "
Either way she's doing what she does best, using a situation for her own gains. We are mere pawns in her power struggle. |

I ain’t a fan of Sturgeon but she has handled this way better than Boris and I think the Tory (sick face) will screw it up again the man is an absolute buffoon he was at my work at the airport Testing site walking around not wearing a mask trying to shake peoples hands then took a group photo which is when he finally put on the mask upside down as well.
Also the folk on here saying they will be travelling down to England for a pint you are absolutely knobends and that’s me being polite and if u do i hope you get a hefty fine.
The thing they need to get rid off is the Tiers it is a recipe for disaster as it just encourages folk to travel between tiers to have a day out it’s such a stupid idea |

The problem is that once the vaccine is fully rolled out then that's as good as its going to get and we then have to live with it just like we do with the flu vaccine.
Will never eliminate the virus & unless intend banning overseas travel for good then it will be brought 8nto the country from elsewhere at times.
I don't think Boris or the whole UK parliament has dealt with it well just as I don't think Nicola has either when using it as a political tool for progressing her independence philosophy
However I agree that I really wouldn't wish nave either job through this pandemic |

Didn’t Nicola Sturgeon fail to wear a mask in a pub while going round speaking to people. Speaking to people who with the greatest respect were no spring chickens who would have been at a greater risk of infection. |

Going round a Covid Site where people are getting tested because they have symptoms without a mask is not the same thing as a pub lets be honest here aye a bit silly but definitely not the same thing |

I don't even go food shopping now, I order everything online. That's how bad it's got that I don't want to go to the supermarket. Pretty isolated as I don't drive x |

The Dear Leader needs to keep us in Covid lockdown control for as long as possible. If she lifts lockdown restrictions she then looses her daily propaganda platform she will need to start to answer all the questions she has deflected for 12 month about to the utter mess she and the SNP has made of Scotland. |

I can help with this one. You see these clever people called scientists have developed a range of vaccines designed to curb the effects of the covid pandemic (although there are many not as clever people who dispute this). So this time lockdown easing is happening in tandem with the rollout of these vaccines... which is very different to previous lockdown exits |

so your aware the vaccine is not totally effective you can still contract it even after receiving the vaccine (before even mentioning mutations that will circumvent it) unfortunately I do believe there are political movements by all parties some being far more extreme than others plenty of countries have similar or lower numbers with zero lockdown but simple info on keeping yourself safe.

"No matter what things look like come September the correct decision is being taken by England. We can’t keep on surviving like this. People need to live and live with this virus as it not going to go away.
Like eat out to help out was a roaring success or the fact England tops the league of deaths ?
It certainly helped businesses for a short time. If you or anyone else are that worried about the virus and want to hide away for eternity then feel free. Some of us have some living to do."
