Absolutely. For me he is the ultimate crossover artist. I was lucky enough to see him several years ago and got tickets as a gift to see him at the o2 in October last year, naturally postponed and rescheduled. So hopefully. No one can beat his Bésame Mucho.
There was another Italian tenor in the same mould Alessandro Safina. He sang on the soundtrack for Moulin Rouge. Apparently he's still huge in Italy but I never hear of him now.

A sublime talent with a truly unique and brave story, love this...
