Depends what you mean by "outdoor fun"?
Are you talking about dogging? Discrete/secluded but close to the road/access? Or in the wide-open spaces of the countryside?
I don't have any experience of the first two, but for the third, the only limitation is your own imagination. There are plenty of places in Renfrewshire, Inverclyde and Ayrshire, and no they don't involve a half-day hike either!! |

Up Glennifer Braes!! ...just past the car park about few hundred yards on....There's Lapwing Lodge...an Activity centre..they've got climbing frames, high wire, zip slides the lot!!!!
Fook ye could have outdoor fun there all day..and a campfire at night! |

Don't fancy it in the rain, to be honest, I'm allergic to the stuff!
And the only time I recall having hassle with midges was up near Aviemore, lateish at night. But the flamin little sods did bring a rather abrupt end to the proceedings! |
