"What’s is the actual point to alcohol free gin... ashtrays on motorbikes and chocolate fireguards spring to mind... "
How about a potential market of 1.8 billion Muslims who, according to their religion don't touch alcohol |

Yeah but not all are/will be interested in alcohol free gin. What made you pick muslims as an example?
Where you trying to crack a joke? |

Islam forbids alcohol, & they drink a lot of alcohol free drink e.g. beer. This gin would be a good alternative, where is the comedy in that? |

Yeah, I got that memo. My point is what made you home in on Muslims?
As I said-not every Muslim wants to dry alcohol or alcohol free drinks. What makes you think they would want to try this gin? I know a lot of muslims who don't want to drink alcohol (that includes the non alcoholic version)
Would it not have been more appropriate to say the drink has been manufactured for ANYONE who wants to try it?
Rather than pass it off as "marketing tactic" for muslims worldwide??

Thought it was more aimed at people that enjoy a drink without a hangover, clean living, or maybe pregnant woman. Having hardly touched the booze this year actually tempted to look at the low alcohol and non alcoholic drinks. There seems to be loads advertised and to choose from at the moment. I do miss going out for cocktails though so maybe its dry January speaking bullocks! |

"WTAF? is going on? completely agree and want to charge a fortune for what is effectively water "
i have a friend that enjoys them... they are usually flavoured and can be d*unk with fancy tonics, she can feel like shes joining in with the rest of the girls when she doesn’t want to drink but we all have our fancy goblets with tasty drinks and garnishes etc
i do agree that they are expensive for alcohol free though |

It's just another company tapping into the consumer psyche fancy btl bit of cordial bit ofwater over inflate the price helps folk believe they are a cut above.
To be fair though gin is overpriced also considering its a flavourless alcohol that is infused to give taste.
