"Had to leave my car and walk home. The gritters have not been out in Hamilton ppl take care out there "
You need a new car mate, there ain't even an inch of snow out there ? If your car can't handle whats out there just now you need a trade in bud. |

"I stay up a hill and it’s a dead end so we don’t get gritters up it. We do have grit bins. Guess what I did this morning?"
I'm up a hill too and there's one grit bin but no one ever uses it and we don't get the gritters either. Looks treacherous as I've seen cars sliding about the place and trying to get up the hill x |

Quite a bit here and went up the hills today felt like Chris bonnington climbing in all that snow
Legs are killing me now though, they could benefit from a good rub down |

"I'm a bit nervous about my car. Its a hire car and not sure how it will do but needs must "
Just don't ober rev. Try using second gear in comparison to first. Go gentle but not enough to stall . You'll be ok |

A fresh covering of snow here in Salford but it'll be gone in a few hours no doubt. Well about a centimetre has fallen, if that counts!
You can count on probably 2 hands the decent (a few inches or more) snowfall we've had round here in my lifetime and most of that was when I was a kid.
Even the "Beast from the East" pretty much missed us completely! |

"Plenty forecast tonight in my area
Same but as I live on the seafront it rarely lies , I live in hope "
I used to live 5 min from porty, not once snowed in. Back out in the sticks now and carnage |

"Far too cold here for snow.
Never understood this theory. -30 in Canada and the likes and hunners of snow "
Love how the Canadians just get on with life despite tons of snow. They must get their kill at us with our one cooncil gritter out on the second Tuesday in January. |

By all accounts most roads are awful and haven't seen a grit lorry. I realise it's a big job but I've got a hunch roads aren't being cleared as efficiently as they could be to make sure folk stay in. |
