I was thinking about getting a road bike then got down the rabbit hole of road v cyclo-cross v gravel. My head hurt pretty soon after that. Is availability of bikes picking up?

Bought myself a giant revolt 2, hadnt had anything with drop bars in decades, i just gave up trying to see the difference between the categories. Im old enough to think "drop bars=racer" took several models out for a spin before settling on that. Before i rode a steel frame urban raleigh, great bike too, built like a tank and you could carry 100kgs on the back no worry. My giant flexes with some heavy shopping. Horses/courses.

5 in total

A fixie - I love this bike and good to train on

2 x road bike - an alllez I started on and a pinarello I now ride

A specialized cross trial

A mountain bike

I always think I should scale back but each one has personal memories of rides I’ve done and I can’t seem to get rid of any.

Used to be really ill and cycling literally saved my mental health as well as physically helped me

Ellon

4 at the moment lol

Got a new Giant road bike a couple of weeks back. Have a Specialised tri-cross which is now relegated to winter bike, and probably also use it on the turbo. An older road bike which I’ve just sold to a mate, and a cheapy Halfords MTB which I’ll probs sell, as I never use it now that I’ve got into road biking

I've got a Specialized mtb but keep hankering after something sportier but can't decide between gravel or road. Veering towards road bike as I already have the mtb.

Have a couple of bikes, road and mtb. Not used in a few months. Need some motivation to get out again. Get in touch if u r in southside of glasgow and want a cycle buddy. Older , more weight than I'd like but keen.

Lothian area

As long as they a single on narrow roads and never more than 2 abreast then all is good - unfortunately a lot of cyclists don’t know ( or care about ) the rules
