Lots of folks putting no meet till post-Covid - was wondering if you mean if the vaccine is widely rolled out because it looks a lot like Covid is here to stay.

Folk seem confused as to what the vaccine will do I does not make you immune and it only has around a 2 3 month lifespan

What is that based on? I thought it was not yet known how long the vac immunity may last, also not sure what point (i) means? I am genininely interested in the answer

I imagine (much like everything round covid) that “meeting post covid” means differing things to different folk. Personally I feel it’s for the foreseeable future as things are way too uncertain to put a time scale on it. My health is worth far more than a meet

I think that uncertainty is the only thing we can be sure of and don't be surprised if things don't go to plan. This roller-coaster may still have a long way to run.

the vaccines are a synthetic pieces of rna that cause an auto immune response the vaccine does not eliminate the virus it gives the body the ability to see the virus and eliminate the cells when there is no virus about. the added bits degrade and leave there is hope that similar to folk infected with sars there will be remaining t cells that remember the sequence to reactivate at later points in time alot of the vaccine producers have all this info way better explained but it's not to be confused with lifelong vaccines the hope is that with a high uptake % the infection cycle is interrupted which will cause a steady decline in numbers

I am personally waiting until its under better control. At the moment I am opting not to have the vaccine until I see how its effecting folk and as it doesnt stop you getting or transmitting the virus it is still too risky to neet... Just my opinion

Thought it was at least 6 months, possibly longer. Where did you hear it's only 2-3 months?

in the Pfizer public announcement months ago.

This is the reason developed country's are getting flak from humanitarian agency's as they have ordered upto 5 times their country's population leaving shortage of supplies for less developed country's.

I’ll not be meeting till we are back to some kind of normality, if that’s 2022 or never so be it.

This year has taught me a lot but most of all it’s made me realise What I don’t need to be happy.

Edinburgh (She/Her)

It's not about vaccines in our household. It is more when we can get out to events and gigs without jumping through hoops.

When it's save to have gatherings in enclosed areas then you have to feel that it is going to be reasonably safe to be one on one with another.

Everyone will have there own version of feeling safe.

As humans we should respect other individuals choices when it comes to safety, whether we agree with them or not.

At last someone realised the truth - Covid will not disappear. The vaccine is similar to flu vaccine and you will need it renewed periodically. Like the flu vaccine it doesn’t guarantee protection.

Life has changed, I hope you can grasp this. Those that post they are waiting until it’s over are deluding themselves.

It’s now about understanding risk.

yup it's nothing more than personal risk assessment even taking any of the vaccines guarantees nothing.

There are numerous strains that the vaccines won't affect the media is a major problem also take right nows news of the *new strain* what they are referring to is a strain that's just been sequenced but that has been done from samples in oct/Sept not exactly "new"

Totally agree its all about the risk and judging it.

You could just as easily catch it at the supermarket or from the kids going to school.

Will evaluate after Xmas and see if the central belt drops a tier come January.

If the central belt drops a tier or 2 soon then maybe we will all be coming sooner

Stay safe x

It's all about control, once they realised how easy it was to fool people ie the mask wearers. Thanks to them following like sheep it will never be over, one lie after another.

What? How is wearing a mask and wanting to protect the more vulnerable people, being a sheep?
