I finish up on Friday but wouldn't mind working through to be fair. I like the idea of the time off but I start getting bored very quickly and usually fall into a depressed state |

Next Tuesday at 16:30 is when I finish, then back for the 3 days inbetween Christmas and New Year.
Our work doesn't allow you to take more than 1 week off over the festive period, so it's before Christmas, inbetween the two events or after New Year.

"Working in Retail. There is no Finish for us Sadly."
I know your pain; used to work in Next and staff had to be in at 5am for 6am opening to public for Boxing Day sales and there’s ppl queuing already!
Also worked in H.Samuels, Boots and Cineworld but the latter 2; was there 5 yrs apiece so we got choice of Christmas or new year off.
Last 10 yrs were with a charity so had both off!
In new job and last working day is Monday, then checking in (at home) for 3 days (29-31) then back on 5th so not too bad.
Ian finishes Christmas Eve then back 4th I think

Technically off for 10 days from 23rd but I know I'll have to work Christmas eve and New years eve for a few hours at least. It's sti the longest I've had off over the festive period in 15yrs so not complaining!! |
