Several years ago I joined this site, and back then I was kinky. Over a year ago I admitted to myself that I loved BDSM. But apparently this site wasn't "for" people who liked BDSM (I talked to the wrong people I think, but I got burned).
After the publishing of 50 shades of PISH, is there more of a BDSM community on here? Is it appropriate to post and talk about BDSM?

I've been on and off fab (and similar sites) for the last couple of years and a regular on some kink sites and clubs for longer. I think that there has always been an overlap between the BDSM crowd and the swingers. I certainly recognise a few profiles on different sites.
However, there are many people in each group who don't cross over.
The difference that 50 shades has made is that many more people want to try / rediscover some kinky things.
So, I don't think think that 50 will have caused many kinky people to go "oh, I must try swinging", but it my have made quite a few people (swingers included) more amenable to introducing some kink into their adult activities (and maybe some people will realise that it's not all about pain...)
Therefore, chatting about kink isn't as frowned upon on the non kinky adult sites.
For me the trick is to take your time, trust your instincts, get to know people and how they play and be safe (oh and don't use fucking cable ties for bondage ...).

It's a very valid question.
I know more sub women than Domme but I wouldn't really say that women are predisposed to be sub as I probably know more sub guys than real Doms too.
There are so many guys out there that THINK they are Dom but, in all honesty, they haven't got the faintest idea what they're doing (spanking an arse doesn't make you a Dom. lol).
Being the fairer sex I would say woman (mostly) have a more caring nature and that males are generally more protective but predisposed to be sub I'd have to say no, I don't think they are. xx |

Thank you. I often wonder how it happens, that one day you decide to be sub or dom/domme or if it creeps up on you, or it is all part of exploring and pushing sexual boundaries? |

A Domme/Dom absolutely develops. We learn all the time.
I (mr) firmly believe that a dominant should have first hand experience of what they give, hence I've never done to a sub anything I've not tried myself. If a sub does want something I know nothing about I'll go out my way to experience it first so I know what I'm doing. |

Thank you Katy. I think that as females we learn to trust and lean on fathers, teachers, male role models etc. and so unwittingly are 'conditioned' and that a master or BDSM does draw it out and hone it. But I may be wrong as I don't have sub tendencies and does a domme develop then?

i noted the comment u made with regards the male role in growing up, my father died when i was young so i grew up in an all female house, so that could be why i am domme as opposed to sub, no idea, but it could be part of it |

Tis True its not all about spanking and pain.. I submit to DD in all aspects of our relationship and it works for us, i love knowing that he is my master and in control of me and i love to pleasure him in all ways (not just sexually) I am a pleaser and seeing him happy with me for something i have done well gives me pleasure even if it is something as simple as cooking a nice meal for when he gets home from a hard days work! I know that if i am a good girl and please him that i will be rewarded |

I've never been able to completely relinquish control so sometimes find it hard to understand such relationships.
Sometimes I think it would be lovely for someone to take over all responsibility and care for me........

Well we should ask for our own forum I think! Turns out quite a few of us are kinkier than I thought.
A few questions have been posed to me on my messages, so here's a few answers.
For years I have been a sub, to a Dom (male Dom that is!). However the past year I have been evolving, I am definitely SWITCH!!! Best of both worlds.

as said before there are loads of pretenders on here i have met people (who give it 9 to me) and people who want it when it comes to they chicken out or have no experience at all to do it properly limits have to be respected and to a point there has to be safety then everyone can enjoy their pain |
