My girlfriend got it yesterday. She works in a NHS role, so was one of the first in line for it.
I'm hoping the 2nd one is approved by the time they get to me, as it's got less side-effects listed for it. |

I will take it when offered
I take flu jab every year and have done for decades
why do they consider the jab to be of more defence than the natural immune defence of someone who has already had covid? |

As soon as it (or any of the other vaccines that get approved) are available for me, I will be there to get it.
A small price to pay for something that can help turn the world back to some semblance of normality. |

If they do the "open" vaccines the same as the NHS ones, you don't actually get a choice as to when you get it.
When you call the number you get offered the administration venues closest to your home postcode and once the site has been decided on, you're allocated a time.
You're not allowed to drive for 15 minutes after the injection, and some places are making you sit and wait for the 15 minutes afterwards. |

It will be a while before its available to me.
I'll probably take it.
I've had covid although it was very mild for me, it's good to already have some antibodies. |

I had covid back in oct. Still have days where feel like shit. Am down to give blood as they want to use any antibodies my body has created to it. Am in 2 minds about vaccine as still don't know enough about it and long term effects. |

I'll take it when I get the chance but I'm not sure it will be the magic bullet that kills of covid and lets life get back to normal. I think it reduces your chances or getting covid but doesn't remove it. Might be wrong about that - there is so much coverage but difficult to get a clear message. |

I would much rather take it on the advice of scientists than airline company policy
Yip I did notice you said further up you will take it...just thought the reasoning was funny |

"I'll take it as soon as I can get it (not soon). If for no other reason, just to protect my elderly family and other people. "
Not sure of the logic behind this post. Taking the vacine won't protect your family in any way shape or form. Only you !!
If your in contact with covid, the vacine won't stop you spreading covid to others by contact ect.
It could actually put family at more risk as you will be immune from catching it and hence showing no signs . You could still spread it un wittingly |

This vaccine doesn't actually give full immunity. You can still catch Covid-19 although with the vaccine you're less likely to become seriously ill, afraid it's not the magic wand that everyone believes it to be (and I'm not a conspiracy theorist who thinks it's all bill gates and biometric tracking either ) |

You could still spread it un wittingly " the vaccine is to destroy covid 19 it creates t-cells that attach and destroy the virus cell wall so the point of vaccines is to protect everyone through herd immunity that's why it requires such high uptake numbers to be effective.
Taking aside the biometric conspiracy most who are reluctant to take it are doing so because of the limited testing.
studies are usually 1 to 10 yrs before a vaccine goes near the general public.
If the vaccine works then you do help to protect others as you won't be creating droplets (effusion from exhaling) |

"It’ll be a while before I’m invited to get it, but I’ll take it when offered."
I'll take it when offered it, but going by the Scottish Government's record, I'll not be holding my breath on when that might be. No doubt one more shambles!! |
