Hi Guys, First post, be gentle...

Have booked some time away next week. Just wondering what Centre is like at moment, with all rules in place gathering drinking if any is rather limited.

If anyone has any recommendations on places to visit on or around we appreciate it. Travelling isn't ideal right now, but we are just hoping for looking for a change of scenery.

We are here just now and it’s all good some of the hotels have closed and chain hotels are moving folk about, you can eat out and drink in places if you’re having a meal lots of places with outside seating/marquees/tents set up. Everyone is wearing masks and using sanitising stations everywhere, lots of places only taking contactless payments, it is quieter than normal and it’s not a late night anywhere but plenty of time to be spent together in hotel rooms it’s been a well deserved break for us and a good opportunity to have some quality couple time x

Thanks, we just wanted to get away for a bit and booked last minute for heading up next Tuesday for a few days.

We are hoping to check out some of the surrounding areas like bow fiddle rock etc.

There are loads of fun things to do outdoors too...

Depends what you are into...

Seals at Newburgh, hill walks at Bennachie, beaches, Slains Castle

Depends what fun you are up for...

Enjoy!

All of those sound great. Didnt know about the seals in Newburgh. Will need to look up about that. Slains castle also sounds like a good idea too.

Its quite amazing the things you realise you don't know till you ask that.

During the daytime pretty strong chance of seeing dolphin at the mouth of the harbour from the south side.

At night it has a bit of a different reputation.

"Slains castle also sounds like a good idea too."

If castles are your thing, see also Crathes, Drum and Dunnottar.

Slains being a ruin could be good for fab photos as it's less likely to be heaving with public, but possibly a bit cold for it at this time of year.

Thanks, Dunnottar looks very game of thrones so we may give that a visit on the way or coming back. Hopefully get some pictures up in coming days folks.

We visited on the way back. While closed, it was a still a lovely sight to see, as were the Seals in Newburgh. We are hoping to maybe get back soon, providing its safe to do so. Had a great time while there.

You definitely shouldn't of been travelling during covid. We don't want folk from higher tier areas bringing it up here thanks.

Appreciate the concern, but we were travelling up there last week when Fife was in Tier 2 at the time until (we returned on the Friday), same as Aberdeen. Used the track and trace wherever we went and wore masks. No rules were broken.
