The vaccine has part of the antibody which can make you feel poorly.

Plenty hot drinks my friend.

Doctor's say there is no side effects from it

They lie because they get paid for the jab

"Doctor's say there is no side effects from it"

What a bizarre statement.

Quick glance at NHS website would list...

slightly raised temperature

muscle aches

sore arm where the needle went in – this is more likely to happen with the vaccine for people aged 65 and over.

No idea, I'm lost. Damn Sat nav!

most vaccines come with slight side effects .

Some say you can get like cold type symptoms from having it .

I had it last year after developing pneumonia last sept & had no side effects at all nor did I have cold/ flu which I get every year so il continue to get it every year from now on

Best just looking after yourself with a healthy lifestyle/diet.

Unless you're needing the jab for medical reasons etc I think.

This is the first year I’ve had flu jag and not felt a bit yuk after, had a sore arm for 24hrs ish and that was it.

I don’t think it’s the flu jag that’s made you feel rubbish!

apparently they said this years vaccine is without the use of egg proteins and there are two vaccines

one for over 65's and the other for under 65's

when I was in the conveyor belt queue at my surgery I almost got the over 65 one and picked up on my doctor saying this as both injections were sitting side by side

this year I had zero reaction to it.

Never had it, never will and never had the flu, I have a good natural immunity so I have never needed a vaccine to help my body remember to fight.

People may receive either the egg-based or live attenuated trivalent or cell-based trivalent vaccines but the one you get will depend on your age and health.

The nasal sprays ('live' weakened/ attenuated virus) is usually only given to children of school age, not those who are at high risk or immune compromised. The flu shot (dead virus) is given to those who are older and at high risk.

It does take 10 to 14 days for the flu vaccines to work so inbetween that time you can still catch the flu so best not to think you are protected when you get the shot.

It's also best you have a full body MOT/ immunity test before a vaccinations incase you have an unknown underlying health condition.)

I get offered it every year at work and always refuse but this time a voice at the back of my mind told me it may be wise to get it this year.

I got one free every year through work due to working on oilrigs and the last thing you want is flu through out the rig when working 12 hour+ shifts for 14 days

now im retired I still continue every year to get the jab

It is scarey times that's for sure and lockdowns are doing more harm than good to our immune systems. So totally get why something was telling you to get it this year.

"Had the flu jab on Thursday still feeling lifeless is that normal also had splitting sore head??? "

Although I'm high-risk as I'm diabetic, I HAD to get it the two years I worked for the NHS and suffered like yourself. As a result it's put me off it for other years.
