We have booked a hotel in the capital next week for a couple of nights. We were hoping we could have got a night out but it looks like we will just have to have a few drinks in the hotel.

We have a ghost tour booked for the Friday night, is there any recommendations for things to do on the Saturday day and night that will be open?

There are plenty of different tours you could try, there is also a ghost bus tour and a harry potter tour if that takes your fancy

If your looking for somewhere to eat try Boteco Do Brazil, went there for dinner last year and the staff were amazing. Food was good and the Brazilian cocktails were worth it alone.

Or

Give this a try, again good fun and the best one ive tried so far

A lot depends on what your tastes are, of course, but there are loads of galleries and museums here that are well worth a visit.

Also, I always take visiting friends for a walk up Arthur’s Seat and/or Calton Hill. Truly stunning views.

No restaurant of course but plenty of great independent cafes.

Enjoy

Some of the galleries/museums are only open a few days a week and you need to book (especially as it’s school hols here at moment) and some are closed.

To the OP there are plenty lovely walks, holyrood park and then up Arthur’s seat, Calton hill is a less strenuous walk with a lovely view. My only recommendation is if your doing anything that’s in doors do a bit of research as it may require booking.
