CJs Halloween parties are legendary and carnage always occurs. However due to the probable 6pm-10pm opening hours, social distance and government guidelines on music being played it will be nothing like previous years.
For these reasons I won’t be attending and look forward to Halloween 2021 |

Me and bubbly are booked to go, will be sad that we can’t party like usual but will be great to see familiar faces and chat to folk haven’t had the chance to catch up with over recent months. At the minute I’m not sure if I’ll be dressing up tbh as far as the kids are aware heading out to meet friends for a few hours and if I’m dressing up think will send the wrong message to them as I’ve discouraged them from going out trick or treating or having a gaff out the garden with friends |

I would love to be going but with all the uncertainty thought it was silly to travel so far.
I'm curious as to how it would work though as I assume you get a table and have to stay at it which would mean you can't really talk to other people unless directly next to yours? |

We have booked in for the 31st hopefully it goes ahead as Caroline posted this was fully booked, still spaces for 30th.
I don't even care if its 6-10pm. Can't wait to get out and see people we have had the pleasure to meet.
We are not dressing up this year either.
Have booked into the Sandyford Hotel for the night as we got a fantastic deal £46 b&b, so gonna make the most of our child free time.
Dinner, drinks, cjs, and the back to the hotel.
Hope to see old and new faces x |

"We’re also booked and looking forward to it but wondering if it’ll be 6pm-10pm? Anyone know? "
Think it will all come down to what the government announcements are with pubs/ clubs opening up again and the hours will just have to wait for updates.
We have booked in for the 31st so keeping everything crossed that Caroline & Michelle get to open again.
Maybe see you both there |

I asked this in a previous post and was told it would be operating in the same way as a pub. You can only meet 1 other household in a pub with table service and no alcohol indoors. So you will have to pick one couple or single person to socialise with for the entire evening. We really miss CJ’s and understand how difficult this must be for Caroline and the team but we will be giving it a miss until things are a bit more relaxed.

Looks like wee nippy isn’t going to lift to many restrictions on the hospitality sector. Meaning it’s likely no party on Saturday. Probably the best we can hope for is bars and restaurants can open to serve food only |

True, pubs in Glasgow aren’t operating at all at the moment. They’re shut.

"Am in glasgow that weekend and Got a hotel booked but In 2 minds to go or not who’s persuading me x "
Think under the current circumstances no ones going to try and unless your a regular I don’t think you’d be able to book anyway with the current covid restrictions |

You can still book Glasgow hotel rooms. You can also eat in their restaurant up until 10pm if your are a guest in the hotel. However there is a blanket ban on alcohol being served in these facilities |

I think she was referring to CJ's as they are only taking bookings from regular attendees at the moment. |

The staff have been working hard to get the place ready for reopening. There has been a deep clean in the club (and will continue throughout the club night whipping down hard surfaces) and plastic screens up at the office and bar area. Also we have decorated fresh lick of paint. And also changed the dungeon and a couple room into social areas now with coaches put in and Social distance signs will be up and on seats so nobody can sit on them. The staff Have been working hard to try and make that a safe environment for when we reopen. But will need your to help too keep a safe environment by social distance and wearing masks and using hand sanitiser which will be located around the club.
So hopefully we will see all you Beautiful people for the Halloween weekend.
Keep safe. Xx |

Saw your update, and that does indeed suck.
Until people stop being so chillaxed about things, we're just gonna keep getting harsher and harsher conditions, which make it worse for people that are being careful.

Gutted for you Caroline hopefully you still have a fantastic birthday.
We won't be able to make the 7th unfortunately as we won't have childcare.
But soon as we have child free night and you get to open again we will be there. Xx |

I don't see what difference another week is going to make. New restrictions will be placed on 2nd November anyway so I wouldn't have thought aiming to be open for the 7th would go ahead either. I fully understand that CJ wants to open again and needs to make money but I don't think it's appropriate to be opening at all right now |

Agree with this. With Glasgow having the highest infection rate in Scotland I would imagine we will be placed in Tier 4 or 5 come 2nd November. Maybe everyone should adopt a worse case scenario that CJs won’t be open anytime this year. Then if it can open sometime Nov/Dec everyone would be buzzing. |
