I am amazed with the amount of accounts I have come across that are verified but it turns out they are not who they say they are. 
Then I have come across unverified accounts and they are real genuine people.
Just wondered if anyone has had the same experience?  |

I guess that can happen quite often on here/the internet in general.
I have found the people I talk to often and stay in contact with, swap photos, phone calls etc are genuine. The ones who just send a shitty message, want a quick chat etc etc arent so much.....

Always been the way I have a wee chuckle at people who state that others must be photo or meet verified. It is very easy to lay down a paper trail to look as though they are genuine. I tend to stick to my gut feeling. If something feels off, it is. Nothing better than a woman's gut feeling for figuring out what is real  |

It seems too easy for accounts to get a green tick that then classes them as genuine.
But you are right it comes down to your gut feeling and when you are chatting and you think "would a girl actually say that?" |

It seems too easy for accounts to get a green tick that then classes them as genuine.
But you are right it comes down to your gut feeling and when you are chatting and you think "would a girl actually say that?"
Thats the dead giveaway the profile is being driven by a man also the profile name & text if its something along the lines of little F*c* Slut or something similar you know not many females would use a name like that plus the very graphic details of what they want done to them on the profile you know again not many women would have anything like that on their profile |

I'm not suggesting this is the case for you but sometimes I've been accused of being fake or not genuine simply because I've turned someone down or because I'm not interested in meets at all. |

Have to say I'm quite shit at first liners never know what to say so I'm usually a compliment to someone or just a hello how are you, which obviously everyone ignores lol so some of us that are crappy talkers struggle lol |

Mostly "single women just out or a long term relationship and looking to experiment."
It's practically a rubber stamp profile. I have seen three appear within half and hour local to me. Usually they verified but single blokes and similar 'single female' profiles withing hours of being created.
Spot them a mile off. |

Most will look at the profile before even reading the message. You need to remember that your profile is like a shop window. If it's bare it's not going to entice anyone in.

We would agree... Single ladies unfortunetly are an issue. One single lady kept messaging us....we were dubious however was polite. Then this single lady messaged as a man we then knew our gut feeling was correct all along.
We have had many examples of this. It's a shame as it means that we look at single females profile through suspicious eyes! |

There's a couple of profiles we were chatting to when it dawned on us, reading their statuses about the wife (not gonna give to much away here lol) day after day, easier to leave them to it and give the odd 'really' when reading. Like has been said no point reporting as they'll just come back on a new profile, at least this way we know just to ignore them, 1 even suggested phone check which didn't get answered haha. Can't name n shame publicly but happy to divulge if anyone also wants to steer clear. |

I would say it's more of a problem of a guy pretending to be a girl. I have spotted another profile of a girl using pics that I know are not theirs. The profile here on FAB states they are from Belfast but the pics I know to belong to a German girl. |

It tends to be the 20 something females looking to meet 18 to 99 year olds who get me suspicious, especially if they respond straight away to a message, I always ask for an early phone call, its amazing how many are too busy to chat on the phone but can chat on here |

There is one (single woman) that keeps on appearing, lasts a week or so then comes back in a different guise. The photos look like they have been taken years ago with a dodgy camera as well. Quite a slutty profile, obviously looking for guys to talk dirty for his thrills |

It’s always been the case unfortunately.
There was a female/couples profile that would appear every now and then asking who’s met her before either on here or a certain escort site and within hours they’d have multiple verifications.
What makes things worse is naming and shaming is seen as being worse than a fake profile. |

It's probably been mentioned but there seems to be a social circle on here that will quite happily verify each other.
Seen it a fair bit in the last few days from one particular account that signs up, gets verified, then verifies a bunch of others and leaves, only to rejoin a few hours later.

Fake profiles have been on sites like this for years and will continue to appear, there is no easy solution. Ultimately it all comes down to doing your own research and making sure you have a healthy skepticism when dealing with a profile that doesn't have some clearly genuine verifications. |

We’ll never get rid of the fakes unfortunately seen a few profiles come and go over the last few year’s giving it the “who remembers me” p!sh.
I met a couple a few years back (they were testing the waters but I could tell he was more into it than her from the start) they left the site and said it wasn’t for them, he reappears now and then using pics from the couples profile claiming that he’s single but then disappears again. |

What makes you think you are in that category or that your profile might look dodgy? Some would accuse you of being fake when you don't rush to drop you knickers for them & meet instantly, but that's their issue. Your profile seems to look ok.

Yes definitely, for single guys it an be difficult to get a meet hence to get verified even if you are totally genuine.
Biggest issue is folk on here with multiple accounts only need to get one verified then do fake verifications on the rest. |

Being a big fan of fab anonymity and discretion, I've resisted posting my face with a big fabswingers sign under it to get photo verified.
I eventually gave in and sent a pic of my face leaning over my laptop which had a big fabswingers sign on display.
It was rejected.

Well naively when I joined I thought it was the perfect platform to find a fellow Bi play mate and that it would be easy but the few females I did contact either didnt reply (which I'm ok with) but the ones that did replied quite rude and bluntly NOT interested (which again if they weren't intrested in me that's ok) but now I am wondering if it's because they thought it was a fake account?! |

Call someone or video chat easy does I that way don't need to be naked or naughty just a hey how's it going to get verified. Not saying you need to do that with everyone but if your speaking to someone genuine then not hard to do or that big a deal.. Usually can find them out too with the fact they have them in every yoga position naked or with a different cock on her mouth each pic.. Then have something on profile like very shy and won't send face pic unless you send 1st all that is a bit iffy |

We had a really beautiful unverified single female profile message us. We decided she was fake and too good to be true. She made quite a lot of effort to contact us so one day the Mrs was at a lose end and arranged to meet her for a coffee. Turned out the girl was legit. An absolutely drop dead gorgeous 21 year old unicorn had been on Fab for 3 months and she couldn’t get a meet because no one believed she was real. |
