Thanks for this. Was never my intention to be in the slightest creepy. Would hate doing anything against someone’s will. I read on somnophilia during my studies and sexologist J. Money described it as "a maurading predatory behaviour in which (arousal) is responsive to and dependent on intruding on and awakening a sleeping stranger".
It used to be classified alongside other paraphilias, and papers suggest it is a largely selfish act because it is almost masturbatory and does but require any seduction or sexual performance. Unless you hope the other person wakes up, in which case it becomes "Sleeping Beauty" syndrome. |
