First Social Nerves !!!
Jump to: Newest in thread
Ive had a lot of intrest for fridays social with a lot of social newbies attending .
Ive tried to put many of the nervous ones at ease and thought id add a wee post here for the regulars attending socials to maybe give a few words of encouragement to them .
Il go first and say i know the nerves will be there but once you attened your first social im sure you will be dying to know when the next one is just relax and enjoy meeting lots of lovely like minded people |

I went to my first one a few months ago, a single guy, didn't know anyone but people were very friendly. I found the other newbs chatted away to me. Jacs introduces newbs to everyone to make you comfy.
No-one need be left lonely |

There will be nothing to worry about, miss d carries about a defibrillator at the socials, although that is mainly used to get regular social attendees to buy a round at the bar.The old short sharp shock treatment |

We were really nervous before our first social but it really didnt take long to settle in at all. 2nd social there was no nerves at all as we knew a few people from the first one. Just go enjoy urself and try and mix in with others is best advice we can give. Get to meet some fun people at them |

keeping it real....
it depends a lot on the host/s and the regulars attending and I would say 'most are fantastic and put themselves out there and welcome newbies'
it is also down to the newbies being receptive to friendly approaches, not everyone will want to get into your pants and most will just be saying 'hello'.
Have a great time, you will most certainly get back what you put in, it is a fantastic way to meet people.
