Totally relaxed. Yes the lid closes down and you are in darkness this can make some people dizzy. People with certain conditions are not recommended eg epilepsy.

The one I go to the tank is in a locked room and you can leave the lid up if you want. Dont know if you would get the complete effect doing this.

Yes about half a dozen times. Last place was in town off Royal Exchange Square. Always came out feeling very peaceful after a session. Be warned that you can get freaked out...the loss of spatial awareness. But honestly i find it amazing
