Mr is big Xbox One gamer, either FPS’s, RPG’s or strategy ... starting to get excited about the new Xbox and may even be tempted with a PS5.
Been dabbling a little in World of Warcraft on PC recently too.
Miss loves Diablo and Skyrim, but is hooked on Magic The Gathering at the moment. |

Space Engineers is the good shit. I've spent over a thousand hours usually building massive as(s)teroid eating ships. I also highly recommend starting up a creative world and going nuts with space balls and spherical gravity generators if your PC can handle the KLANG.

"Is it possible to be a book geek, a music geek etc. Or is playing computer games the only qualification?
"
Geek generally refers to enthusiasts of less mainstream avenues
Books, computers, planes, trains, history, gaming you name it |

My first full time job was in a Games Workshop, happy days. Mostly paid to paint miniatures, roll dice and drink tea until the post-school rush. |

The planet broke before the guard.
Honestly worst part about lockdown is not being able to play with my sisters. Literally just got shiny and new ones (well plastics grey ones) and I can't slay heretics with them. |

Giving up on consoles for next gen with them adding mouse and keyboard support (which I can't use) it removes the point of a console in my eyes which was a level playing field and the hardware in them is at best mid range in comparison to a pc which you could build cheaper |

In fact I have read all the books of middle earth, such as the Silmarillion, the book of lost tales, Beren and Luthuen, the fall of Gondolin, the Children of Hurin.

I recently found the first 100 issues of 2000AD in a box in the attic which I thoroughly enjoyed rereading (I bought them when they came out).
I'm also a GM (mod) on one of the larger multiplayer PC games which I've been involved in for over 15 years.

one of my fave stories, think it was a last page in a 2000AD annual was a Tharg short:-
father and son fighting an alien invasion, turns out they were androids and humans were the aliens. |

Sounds familiar, there is a film out with a similar storyline with Michael Pena in it |

Both of us are gamers – Xbox, Switch and, of course, Pokémon GO. We’re both extremely geeky in many other ways as well. G’s even turned his geeky passions into a career. |

"I am a huge gamer and geek, I do prefer DC comics to marvel though
I find DC films too dark and boring, mostly. "
I’d agree. Marvel are ahead on films... DC are ahead on comics (and I never thought I would hear myself say the latter...) |

Does Pokémon Go count? I’ve never been a big gamer but played Pokémon when my kids were young on Game Boys initially and yes we still have them along with the various Pokémon games.
Made the mistake of buying a console when I was newly married. Played Lemmings to all hours of the day and night. Anyone remember QBert? Totally addictive.
We (me and the grown up kids) do like our Marvel films and have watched them in chronological order as opposed to release dates.
