Iv worked all the way through voming in contact with hundreds of people and been just fine.
All you can do is protect yourself with a mask and hand washing regularly.keep a small bottle of hand sanitiser in your bag and hopefully that will ease some of your anxiety. |

I used to work for the uni, it's no more risky than other workplaces really. Just wear a mask, clean your hands and keep your distance where possible.
Life has to go on |

I’m the same and whilst I know of 1 or 2 that have had it they’ve had very mild symptoms, could just be their luck thought.
We will see a rise in students getting it unfortunately most have probably been in a small social bubble since March and now their mixing again numbers are bound to creep up.
I think it’s hard to stop the spread completely but you can do you’re bit to protect yourself, I honestly believe this has been here since late last year and the chances are a good chunk of is have had it and not known. |

"Whilst it's sound advice, saying that to someone potentially suffering from anxiety from it all isn't helpful in the slightest.

It is worrying and for myself I'm finding no real work home life balance. As there is not a lot to do out with work it's a bit of a proper treadmill. Work come home stay in. Repeat the next day. And the next. |

I’m a key worker so haven’t stopped since since the start, yes at first I too was worried but the trick is on my opinion is not to get complacent.
Wash hands, sanitise, keep your distance and where a mask when I places like uni.
Personally I hate the masks and I’m not sure what if any protection they offer but if they help contain the spread to others and myself I will wear one. |

I have to say two things here... many on this thread have offered genuine support because it’s possible you could be one of those that actually struggling with your mental health in this pandemic. If you’re just a bit fed up (we all are) it’s fine to express that too but your post kinda hinted it was more and you didn’t correct anyone to say it wasn’t. Only my opinion but to insinuate it is more is a bit off, secondly the joke re your name gave you a chance to redress in a lighthearted way and maybe even have that laugh. I do hope your ok OP but there’s many that swap you in a heartbeat. We often forget just how much we do have till we don’t have it. My advice is get a bat cape... take care and stay safe |

Appreciate it’s not always easy, also difficult to express via the written word sometimes too so well said. Life is tough just now but we still have a lot to be thankful for. Can I also point out you’re saying about all the hard work people put in, I presume you mean by social distancing and keeping to the rules re meeting up with family and or friends yet saying on other posts and on your status about meeting ... sorry... maybe I’m feeling the stress too but it jars when you read this post. |

I for one am struggling right now, anxiety through the roof and mood is very low. Spoke today to the mental health nurse for the second time in 2 weeks and she has put me on a higher dose of propranalol and started me on citalopram. Hopefully start feeling better soon.
My advice, for what its worth, is talk to someone, either family, Dr or even start a thread and then pm from there but dont bottle it up, I did and now Im paying the price.
Love to all x |
