I'm gonna buy the wee island that sits in Strathclyde park loch.
Then I'm going to excerise my right for independence. Like Shetland and the Orkneys wee Nicola will have to grant me and my fellow islanders it or she will show herself up as the biggest hypocrite the country has ever seen.
Seriously it's frigging hilarious. The Shetlands will own the north Sea oil fields and Scotland will be screwed . Lmfao
Anyway I'm off to drill a few holes on my island, see if there's any oil doon there.  |

Naw they wont, international law will give them a 12 mile zone around the islands, no oil discovered in that area.
Not that it matters, as this is the usual slow news day story, 20 councillors on the island want more autonomy for Shetland, not the populus clammering to leave Scotland. |

Naw they wont, international law will give them a 12 mile zone around the islands, no oil discovered in that area.
Not that it matters, as this is the usual slow news day story, 20 councillors on the island want more autonomy for Shetland, not the populus clammering to leave Scotland."
Actually the exclusive economic zone stretches to 200 miles, incorporating the north Sea oil fields, coastal waters is 12 miles as you say.  |

Shetlands was 4th highest no vote for independence at 64% in 2014 with Orkney not far behind at 53%, so think its a bit of a cheek them asking for independence when they voted No for Scotland to get independence, So wee Nic should tell them to take a hike.Its a Naw

Under international conventions the Shetlands would be treated as an enclave within another country so only 12 miles not 200. This was clearly established some years ago. |

As someone originally from Hamilton can you just buy Motherwell instead and turn it into a safari park & feed all Motherwell fans to the lions lol

You should get in touch with Stuart Hill (Captain Calamity) and ask him how he’s gotten on with declaring his own Little Rock Off Shetland as an independent state  |
