Optimism/Pessimism (definition) A pessimist is always alone, an optimist is always two people away from a threesome.
Read the above today and it made me think of here, are you an optimist, a pessimist, an opportunist, a realist or what other kind of “ist” |

Pessimism (as a philosophy, not the flippant "glass half empty" rhetoric) is closely related to anarchism and nihilism - philosophies that abound in the realms of sexual exploration and rejection of conventional social concepts!
You could argue that pessimists are realists, whereas optimists are fantasists. |

"I'm an optimistic cynic
I can see why, my Mum would have described you as a poultice...
Why?"
Because you are a "soft, moist mass applied to the body to relieve soreness"? |

That's a bit of an odd connection from optimistic cynic |

"That's a bit of an odd connection from optimistic cynic"
And a good demo of why forums on a sexual/lifestyle website aren't ideal for philosophical discourse! |

"Realist optimist here, I've been called a defeatest tho because I'm a realist " .
One man’s defeatest is another man’s realist, it’s all in the eye of the beholder |

On here I am a realist.
In life, generally I try to be optimistic.
My mantra is it's always OK in the end, if it's not OK then it's not the end.
I also strive for more than mediocre in lots of ways. Sometimes it's beyond my reach but others it's not. |

If that’s not realistic I don’t know what is |
