I'm off work and bored so I thought I'd try to see what peeps think about something that has caused me to raise my eyebrow a few times - the 'meet today' status indicator.
Very often couples/females who have placed themselves on this then say they are unable to meet because of work/kids etc. When I've followed the matter up from time to time it is often the case that they've put their profile there to draw attention to their status update. i.e. 'Looking to meet on Sat' and they'll put it on Meet Today on Tuesday, Wed, thurs etc so everyone gets a good look at it. Fair game or misuse of the facility?
Also some profiles are on Meet Today every single day of life. Can/do they really want to meet every day? They must be knackered if so!
So - should people only use it if they really do want to meet that day? |

if I want a meet on 18th october 2015 I will use the facility...
seems daft to me to post on a 'meet TODAY' for potential meets from midnight onwards ..... lol
as for folks who use it everyday ... good on them.. they may have flexiibilty in their daily schedules and can maximise fun..
hope yu get a meet today. |

We've used it a few times when we've found ourselves free to meet but have to say that sometimes if we don't find out we have free time til late on, it has very limited success...but maybe thats just us ...lol
Maybe be good to have a meet this week or something similar to give us time to pull and not waste a rare free night |

Cant see a problem with it as long as the person states it clear they are meeting on another date and not today.
There are a lot of people on this site so i guess some people will want to make as many adds as possible to be seen.

"We have used the meets today page a few times but we put a date on it when we are free for fun.I think it would be better if it was free this week or month"
Good idea, meeting today is too short notice for most people it would give people better time to arrange and get to know the person a little before the meet.

hmmm not sure....we have put the meet today sign up one saturday when we found ourselves childless for once and had no luck...BUT had msgs from several couples saying if u had let us known earlier in the week we could have organised a sitter. Now i know we didnt know earlier in the week we would be childless however many ppl do and put the sign up to draw attention to this fact to give everyone that may want to meet them an opportunity to do so. dont see anything wrong with it as long as its clearly stipulated what date in the week they are looking to meet. |

Yep, some good points and suggestions there. Why not have two facilities - one for the people who find themselves unexpectedly free at short notice, and a different one giving up to a week's notice. Perhaps even another for View with 6 yrs notice! |

it is a bit daft ,
do they think folk are sitting with their coats on waiting to run out the door the minute they see a meet today. a meet this week would be better then folk would have time to see the advert and contact the other party. |
