Good points : they can be fun at times & as a poster above said a good way to filter out.
Bad points : some use it as a platform to have sly digs.
All in all its mostly a fun way to interact with people |

Good ......the banter in here is funnier than majority of stand up comedy shows
Bad......Like the comedy shows some of said banter can be as funny as typical Scottish weather as recent.
On a serious note the Scottish Forum and some of its regulars has kept me sane for the past decade after the loss of some of my close family members

Good- can be a laugh, gives a bit more insight into the people behind profiles (which in turn can spark interest or act as a useful filter)
Bad- it's not a particularly busy forum, so can be a bit slow, & topics are often repeated.

Good: Some genuinely funny people and, as others have said, provides an insight into the personality behind the photos.
Bad: Though things occasionally turn nasty too many folk spit the dummy for bugger all and a bun fight ensues. |

Good point - it has people from Scotland in it.

I think the overall opinion is discolights... I'm taking that to mean some of what you are saying my dear doctor... "discolights" means nice and bright and cheery and fun  |

The forums are are (should (in my opinion)) be about fun, liberal exchange of opinions and witty banter... IF that leads to a meet then fine but it’s not it’s purpose. However I do think if you have disco lights your chances of a meet are almost certain |

Every subject seems to turn into an argument about something usually unlinked to the original subject. I agree though that the comments some make would definitely put me off meeting that person

Good for getting to know people, have had quite a few meets with females as a direct result of chatting firstly in the forums or from FPF
Bad points, some people have no idea the difference between a discussion and an argument, you know the types, they resort to insults as they have no other way to get a point or an opinion across. |

It can be hostile and unwelcoming to new people.
Lots of 'big' personalities who like to take over.
Not as lighthearted, friendly or fun as other parts.
At times very repetitive and full of drama.
It's a bit like any fairy tale has its own resident witch and a few knights with questionable motives.
Sometimes though, once you get past all that, there are nice people. |

Good parts.. offers some off the hand chat. Can see a different side of a profile.
Bad parts.. FAR too cliquey (is sadly an understatement). People responding to folk like they are above them - yes we're tired of repetitive questions, but they might be new? People unwilling to accept the _iew of another. |
