Does anyone suffer from this? Apparently its a thing.....
I had a sudden terrible pain over the whole of my head brought on by orgasm earlier - incredibly painful and unlike anything I've experienced ever.
Has anyone else experienced this? It had been with me all day.
I'm drinking plenty though on a bit of a diet so perhaps that has contributed?

A hard day's work can do it for me. Can't say I've had it after sex. Dieting may very well be the cause, you doing low / no carb?
Couple of paracetamols and you're good to go again Hope you feel better x |

I've taken paracetamol and ibuprofen and its still there - a really intense throbbing pain over the whole head.
Doing intermittent fasting at the moment but ate well last night!
Def worse when my heart rate increases, or movement.
I'll be thinking twice about having sex next time if this is the punishment! lol |

An orgasm headache usually occurs because of a spike in blood pressure so rigorous movement won't help but you also mentioned Fasting so eating high-sugar foods, dieting too rigorously and skipping meals can all trigger headaches or migraines. This is usually due to people's blood-glucose levels falling too low. So you probably experiencing one of the two or both. If you are still experiencing the migraine even without the sex it's probably signs you need to steady you diet a bit as intermittent Fasting can cause migraines and headaches to last from a week to 3 weeks so best to get checked out .
If I have a migraine which only happens if Ive skipped meals or hormonal, I grab an aspirin. |

Yes people can have many physiological responses to an orgasm as well as emotional ones.
Some cry, some laugh, some get very sleepy, some might get headaches and some experience extreme depression.
Hormones have a lot to answer for |

"Thanks for all the advice and info folks - awaiting doc app as we speak as its lingered for over 24 hours now.

Sex headaches are brought on by sexual activity — especially an orgasm. You may notice a dull ache in your head and neck that builds up as sexual excitement increases, more commonly, you may experience a sudden, severe headache just before or during orgasm. Most sex headaches are nothing to worry about. Many people who have sex headaches will experience them in clusters over a few months, and then they may go for a year or more without having any sex headaches. |
