Cancelled my puregym membership, dont trust that many heavy breathers sharing equipment in internal closed environment, even with new measures in place

And the demand for access and classes will be mental

Once things settle down then i will rejoin, till then grow fat and cycle

I’ve lost weight and feel fitter since I stopped going to gym. Furlough life rocks.

I want my 12 years gyms fees returned since reaching perfection in only 4 months

Kept fit and trim on the bike over summer lockdown so not missed the gym tbh and saved myself a few bob on fees. Glad they are opening again though in time for the dark nights and mornings.

This.

Not stepped inside a gym in about 14 yrs. Everybody is different I suppose but I absolutely hate the gym environment. Maybe there will be less folk in the parks though once they reopen so win win for everybody!

Glasgowish

Not been in a gym since the 80's and then it was full of vain males and females in pink. Maybe they have changed but i would rather avoid.

Some of the requirements I’ve been reading will be that you will get your temperature checked when you enter and you will not be allowed a sweat towel, nice!! So all the equipment will be covered in other people’s sweat, how they going to manage that, go round with sparky dettol and wipe the surfaces after every user?

Watched my welcome back video last night.

Every user should clean equipment after use. Gym etiquette 101.

The Gym group are testing staff temperature not users.

1 capsule entry 1 exit.

Bar code on phone instead of punching pin in on keypad.

Limiting numbers, checking the app will let you know numbers using gym at any particular time.

More “domestic” staff carrying out cleaning duties.

Guessing other gyms will tailor their own around the guidelines.

I have been in gyms in England that have got the cleaning and distancing sorted. No problems

Whilst I have enjoyed finding different ways of keeping fit (and I will keep doing them) I have missed the gym more than any pub.

Looking forward to not walking for a few days!

Can’t wait to get back. Glad I had some resistance bands but can’t wait to deadlift and squat heavy again, but remember to ease yourself back in.

Missed the spin classes and cardio equipment, just waiting for my gym to confirm plans, be good to get back as there is also a good social element to it
