Over there

Away from midges.

Actually, this year, you may not achieve that.

Best avoid The west for midges

Try pillars of Hercules in Falkland and actually Comrie Croft. Yes I know it’s nearer the west but it good especially if you like MTB

Central Borders

Camp site would have my vote. Like someone said earlier, there's facilities. You wouldn't have to leave your poop at the side of the road....

If you come here please act responsibly,I’m not saying you don’t, but there’s too many arseholes coming here dumping rubbish, burning trees and shifting everywhere and generally have a shit attitude towards the countryside.

Let’s just say the locals up this way are getting pissed off!

Paisley

We'd suggest Dumfries and Galloway. No midges, and a decent microclimate.

Lots of quality campsites in that area. Good luck!! X

Depends when you want to go. Availability at sites is limited, so it may be a lottery, and dependant on how far your willing to travel.

There's a couple of places around Broughton Street and in Leith just down from the Playhouse.
