Through the years which are your favourites ? Raymond Burr as Ironside Telly Savalas as Kojak Peter Falk as Columbo many more to list I’m sure . Let’s not forget John Thaw and cast of the Sweeney or Mark McManus of Taggart .

I did like petrocelli back in the day, but think he may have been a lawyer as well, loved moonlighting, cybil sheppard . Loved a bit of inspector morse,

Oldies are Cagney and Lacey, Miami Vice snd Magnum PI. More modern... Sherlock, Prime Suspect and The Shield... random choice... Scooby Doo

I'm in the middle of watching Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries and recently finished on Netflix Death in Paradise

Favourite's would be Sherlock though and I do agree with an above poster that you can't go wrong with Scooby Doo

You’ve reminded me of Detective Fowler in the brilliant Thin Blue Line played by David Haig which then reminded me of him and Sandra Oh in the outstanding Killing Eve
