I have just recently taken up photography and I’m looking for suggestions for decent walks with some nice view in and around fife where I could get some good pictures.

Thanks in advance.

Aberdour Castle is nice, the town is really nice with a quaint old station and there is a great walk from town centre down past the harbour right on to the cliffs ...some really nice photography chances round there.

I took up photography when I got in to exploring derelict places. Worth a look at the derelict places site as there are loads of great days out to be had.

definitely Elie and perhaps dollar castle or Wallace monument... if you catch a good night and an early morning sun rise with a wide angle lens, walk on the forth road bridge and rail bridge can be spectacular.

I'd suggest looking at your own environment for images to photograph. There are amazing photographs taken of very ordinary things but focussed through the lens make great and thought provoking images. Have fun living life through a lens (Cue Robbie song )

I like going to Barassie to photograph the sunset over Arran. The sky can look amazing if you get the conditions right.

There is also a great chippie there as well.

I've done it professionally and have hundreds of images, not as easy as some might think and certainly can drain the wallet/purse. Although I don't do it professionally now I still have lots of kit and head out to do landscapes. In fact I've a few wee places in mind for a visit soon. Whatever your photographing enjoy and there will always be people like myself willing to give tips or pointers.

I find that I get the best pictures when I least expect them. I was on a walk during lockdown and posted a pic on a FB page that got 3,000 likes and hundreds of shares and it was just an opportune moment and a keen eye.
