"Hell yeah. I have been known to go pure 80’s for dinner and have a pie, chips and beans, Angel Delight and ma cheeseboard. "

Naw a pure 80's dinner would involve a bit of gammon with a pineapple ring or fried egg on it, with crinkle cut chips and peas.

There are so many.

Walking on fresh snow, that nobody else has walked in.

Being the first to the swimming pool, and the water is untouched.

Relaxing with the sun on your face, dogs by my side.

Listening to the sound of rain, when laying in bed, knowing your not going out.

Star gazing, seeing if you can find the constellations.

Bubble baths and beach walks. Feeling the sand between my toes and then the sea slowly wash it away

I'm setting my alarm to go watch the sun rise at the beach over the weekend

Watching a sunrise (if you’re up early, on still not home to bed)

When I lived in the Middle East we would go camping down the coast, and I loved sitting on the waters edge, watching the sunrise of the ocean horizon.....

But I love fish’n’chips too

Absolutley!!

After lockdown with my boys, who I love dearly but even I have my limits and 24/7 for almost 4 months was pushing it, so I’ve booked my friends caravan for a few days by myself to chill with some food, drinks and books

Somewhere over there

As I wear a hearing aid, I’m constantly listening, so some these activities is bliss for me with it out;

Sitting with a brand new book; if indoors- hot tea & chocolate nearby On a comfy chair with a blanket round my legs for coziness and phone alerts muted.

If outdoors- sitting under a tree in a park in the sunshine reading, shoes & socks off, feeling the grass and letting everyday sounds fade out.

Swimming lazily rather than focussed lengths/strokes, enjoying the water.

Having a hot bubble bath, some candles, no interruptions and just relaxing (having used about 1/3rd of a bottle of Radox muscle soak! )

I love sunsets so evening walks with clear views, although the best were when I sailed at sea.

A BBQ with friends in summer, enjoying chatter, good company and drinks/food and the woodsmoke smell.

Millie x

Just been for lunch with 2 of my siblings and my mum, it’s mums first trip out in 4 months so was quite strange for her but nice for some of us to be out together, family is too big for us all to go out together yet as only allowed tables of 6 in most places.

This was today’s simple pleasure

It made a pleasant change for me as I’ve spent 4 months chatting to her half way down her path while she stood in her hall, even when it rained it’s funny though it took her 20 minutes to get in the car as she kept going back in the house for things, I’m thinking she was more nervous than she let on.
