It's a lovely private estate hotel just outside of Galashiels, really looking forward to it  |

Ooh awesome!
I'd love some hotel recommendations for somewhere in Scotland. Nothing too expensive as it's just for me to have a change of scenery and turn off the mind noise if that makes sense! |

Makes perfect sense, that's how I (Claire) feel. Need some nice chill time, few drinks in the hotel bar, totally unwind & for 1 night forget all the stress from the past few months  |

"Quiet chill time just sounds so nice .. we went out for a drink at the weekend and ended up coming straight home . Little social distancing lots of body contact .. didn’t feel comfortable "
We've been away this weekend as a family near seahouses, it was awful, so many people, no social distancing, public toilets open but it was a 1 in 1 out system. |

A lovely wee seaside town is Seahouses...shame it was busy, but in fairness it usually is. Correct me if I am wrong but is that where you get a boat trip to the farne islands?! Not been there in years. |

Yes that's the place, its always heaving, dont usually mind but given the current situation it made our trip difficult, even to get something to eat was a full on job, they was waiting up to an hour outside the restaurants. |

Wow! Its not changed much then...apart from the waiting to get into a restaurant! I hope your next trip away is more relaxing for the both of you. And thanks for confirming thats where you get the boat to the island, I wasn't sure  |
