Love Edinburgh..tend to stay in the old town More . love the quirkiness of the bars there. Although rose street has its appeal. So we normally hit the grass market pubs then work our way onto the royal mile via ensign Ewarts, the judges, deacon Brodie’s.. buy the time we’ve worked our way down to holyrood, it’s lunchtime.. .. lol.. haven’t been in a bad bar yet.. That I can remember lol |

Bar Khol was always my fave place. I never agreed with their music choices, but loved the drinks.
Didn't like when it rebranded as a restaurant and eventually fully closed the vodka bit down. But then some say it was Revolution round the corner that caused that.

"I love it too - along with a gig at Bannermans. Had some great nights out there. "
Despite knowing a barman at Bannermans, I've only been there once. It was for a friend's gig, and it was also when I was off booze, so it didn't enamour me. I can see it's appeal for certain people though.
We used to go to the Black Bull across the road for cheap games of pool a lot though.

Never found banshee labyrinth to be that creepy tbh, some of the people I met there I would but the bar staff were always spot on and always managed to make a few friends each time I was there lol |

We’ve a similar place in Aberdeen that was run by the same people, Slains. I still have to let friends know where the toilets are I do miss my visits to Jekyll and Hyde |
