I had seen another post about hill walking in the East Coast, and was wondering if anyone went out on the hills in the west?
I am out on munros pretty much every week and may consider going out with a few people from the site if anyone is potentially keen?
I would say anything North of Glencoe is the area I am currently covering for the time being. |

"I was supposed to be doing Ben Nevis with some friends at the end of July but don't think that will be happening now. Especially since any training has gone out the window too "
I've done Ben Nevis over 15 times and I've taken people with no experience up and down there in about 10 hours.
There's nothing technically as the path is so good. So it's really just a long slog up to the top.
What I would say is that with restrictions easing it's going to be absolutely mental with hikers on Ben Nevis In July.
You might actually have a more enjoyable experience waiting until October and doing it then if you can.
If you need any training advice, feel free to drop me a message |

We’re certainly looking to do a few hikes this summer. Did Schehallion last year and enjoyed it. Looking to find likeminded couples to do outdoors activities with. |

Yes I think I'd manage fine as I'm no couch potato but I have quite short legs so wouldn't want to hold anyone up - especially more experienced walkers
Thats part of the reason we're not doing it so might try and look into less popular routes for now and try Ben Nevis later like you suggested. Thanks |

We are getting back into hill walking and it would be great to go to a nice hotel for the weekend, do some walking during the day and maybe a nice evening delight after a day in the hills |

Yes it’s easy enough..perhaps tinto or a meaner on the campsies.. if your doing a mountain , like Ben lomond,. you’ll probably need to go early as the Car parks for them fill up quickly .. the mountains are really busy just now .. |

Cheers! I think I might take a venture there this week at some point... |

Haven't hill walked before but keen to start. Did 19mile from milingavie to the 'beech tree' & back on Sunday with wee one. It's the first part of the west highland way. Took us bout 7hrs with stops for eating etc
would have went all the way to Drymen but not enough time & had no camping gear. |

I'd be very much up for that. Could even arrange some over night trips if people were up for it?
I did Lochnagar a few weeks ago and stopped the night, really looking forward to bagging a few more Munroes. |
