Went to Edinburgh yesterday to buy some books (fed up with ebooks)...like something from an apocalyptic movie. Did not see one smile. Few people, but pavements difficult to walk as folk dodged and swerved...1 in 3 with masks. Number of outside eateries all using plastic cups, plates etc. Lone piper could be heard from afar as little traffic...sounded like a lament to the past. Won't be rushing back. Felt totally flat after I left. |

I left a congested polluted and high stress place so I’m happy for polar opposites  "
Understand...I went as a visitor who used to enjoy a couple of beers. |

I'm heading into Glasgow city centre to meet a friend for a socially distanced coffee.....doubt very much things are any better in the west side......
By any better I mean- it will most likely be a ghost town. Wonder if the buskers will be about.....not that I was a big fan |

I head to Edinburgh socially for beers in proper bars. Give it a few weeks things will return to some normality.  |
