I’ve been to a few socials and once you’re there you will be fine.
Most times someone arranges a meet in a pub near the venue then go to the social in a group |

I'm probably gonna open myself up to another rally of abuse, but I'd like to quell the rubbish I heard about myself last night.
I DID NOT ask milf_n_filf if I could come to this event, and they didn't tell me no.
I said in the previous thread I wasn't going. I have a reason for not doing social events like this, any more.
Any abuse this time, and I will be blocking and reporting.
For those that get along to this (or any future ones) social, I hope you have fun at it, as it's a good chance to make new friends.

So think I'll be giving this one a miss and catch another social somewhere else hope all that go have a good time |

Hope you’s have a blast. I was due to go to the last one but kidney stones had me buckled over a few days beforehand so had to knock it on the head.
I just hope the government don’t take a power rush and start putting restrictions on things all over again.

After a long discussion with the nightclub owner and an inspection by the council we are having to postpone the Edinburgh social. He was told that there was to be no DJ no dancing and strict table service. When people arrived they were to sit at a table and not move apart from going to the toilet. Now clearly this is not what a social it’s all about. Mingling, music and having a good are.
We know a lot of you have booked hotels and time off. We are cancelling our hotel today. Looking at Aberdeen as an example and their pubs we feel we cannot take this risk for everybody’s public safety.  |

It would have been our first big social meeting, but to be honest, we do think its a sensible call. With what has happened in Aberdeen, why take the risk. |

"After a long discussion with the nightclub owner and an inspection by the council we are having to postpone the Edinburgh social. He was told that there was to be no DJ no dancing and strict table service. When people arrived they were to sit at a table and not move apart from going to the toilet. Now clearly this is not what a social it’s all about. Mingling, music and having a good are.
We know a lot of you have booked hotels and time off. We are cancelling our hotel today. Looking at Aberdeen as an example and their pubs we feel we cannot take this risk for everybody’s public safety. "
Makes sense to postpone given current circumstances. I’m sure you can rearrange for early next year, can’t see anything happening this year |

Gutted, would have been amazing to catch up with people and make some new friends too but needs must as the situation is unfortunately.
Even if it’s not a proper social night will hopefully manage to catch up with a few people soon for some drinks or whatnot x |

Gutted that this is cancelled. Fully understand the reason why though. Nonetheless, we are still travelling up from Wales to visit family and will stay in our hotel and just go out in Edinburgh that night.  |

Think you have made the right decision, Aberdeen has certainly
Set a president for everything that’s going to happen over the coming months I reckon, have a hotel booked for that weekend but will make the most of it anyway and happy to meet anyone for a wee social if they’re still around, preferably picnic in the park type as I have made the choice so far not to go near pubs or restaurants and after Aberdeen’s issues I don’t plan on anytime soon |

Now there is an alternative Edinburgh social waiting to happen.
Weather dependant of course, but a fabulous alternative to save the weekend!!
If everyone agreed on a location, time and a signal for people to know, it could be quite an enjoyable outdoors and safe way to socialise amongst fellow swingers.

As sad as it is for us all, without doubt the right and only call you could have made on the plans.
There will be other days for us all in future.
It's taking longer than most of is thought or hoped but so long as most of us stick with it we will return to a more regular way of life again.

Heard about the cancellations through the chat room; gutted but we'll still keep the room and make a wee overnight of it.
