"We are cjs regulars but we've never been to a private party, would love to give it a shot once lockdown and things clear. Who's been to parties before, how did you like them? "
Like anything you get good and bad, I found the person organising makes the difference as good host will take care over who they invite, mix of personalities, balance couples, males, females and so on. If you look on events you might see something of interest or even host yourself? Enjoy |

We sometimes just booked to stay at the club as it was cheaper & easier than sorting hotel. X |

Held a few parties in my time it’s just about getting the right balance of people who will get on. As long as you go thinking it’s a social and if fun happens then great same as you would a club then you’ll be fine |

Been to a few parties and hosted a few.
When going to a party we always ask for the guest list before going. This is due to previous experiences where the other guests have been out of our age range etc and we’ve turned up, not clicked with anyone and not enjoyed ourselves. We know people drop out and new people are added but it gives you a sense in what the crowd will be like. We love a party it’s much more social and relaxed than a club as it’s more intimate in my opinion.
We’ve hosted a few parties. What I will say about it is you learn along the way. We’ve found things we haven’t enjoyed and thought we’ll do that different next time.
Any parties we’ve been to or hosted there’s never been any pressure to play. What I will say is that if there’s maybe 5 couples plus yourselves at the party and no one peaks your interest when everyone starts playing it can be slightly more uncomfortable than in a club where there’s more people, more rooms and a bigger area to socialise in. Or you could just leave lol
