"Are hairdressers opening in 5 weeks?"
My friend said they hoped to be open in July but obviously depends how phase 1 and 2 go! I've got everything crossed as my hair is a birdsnest |

"I have an old friend who had offered to cut my hair on Monday. She is a hairdresser so no chance of being scalped.
Should I go or wait another 5 weeks? "
I'd go if it was me. |

Im hearing more and more of this happening,,, eventually the shops will open but the hairdresser's will more than likely have to wear a mask.....
Possibly the hairdresser will wear a mask if you asked |

What do you think you should do?
I wouldn't, but its an easy decision for me as my hair is long and can be tied back when it annoys me.

Don't see why it shouldn't be OK. After all you could list it as a medical emergency. Your hair getting too long and the danger of getting tangles. Not to mention the stress an anxiety you will be causing your wife and children.
A drive of say 280 miles to a specialist hairdresser would be OK. And then a few days later another drive of about 30 miles with the window down and a stop over at a scenic location just to make sure your hair is lying properly and doesn't need any fine tuning |

So long as your hair isn't blocking your vision I'd say |

True, but then I don't think it would be reasonable to self assess, that judgment should be down to a fully qualified hairdresser |

Firstly your hairdresser won’t be insured. And secondly if she is doing home visits yours won’t be the only home she’s attending. She’s putting your life as well as anyone else she is visiting at risk. She’s not caring about your safety, she’s just thinking of her pocket. I understand it’s very difficult times for us all but just wait a little while longer xx |

I got it cut in the garden. The weather was incredible. We were both wearing masks and she had a visor on too. She also had gloves on. I showered when I got home to ensure I limited the risk. This was a one off favour and she isn’t trading during lock down. No money changed hands but I did accidentally leave a bottle of Bloom gin in a bag for her. |

I don't quite understand why anyone can't see that when you start justifying why you're not just sticking with the guidelines right now, it just looks worse.
Whereas if you'd just got your haircut on the quiet it wouldn't get folks (mine) back up |

"Putting up a post like this is a great way to get blocked. People are unlikely to meet you if you can’t keep to the rules about not visiting others homes."
I didn’t visit her home. I went round the back garden and sat outside. |
