Yip this. Why send a face pic before any chat. I like to swap pics fairly early but would never demand someone send a pic in a first message |

Isn't it better getting the face picture out the way first? If you send it and nothing, move on. If you have a good conversation going and believe you have met someone you have a connection with, only to later send a face picture and be blanked. I think that's harder on both sides to take. |

If they have a face pic on their profile then its only fair you send one with first message.
If they don't have a face pic on their profile then i think its fair to establish an initial contact before swapping pics

These profiles cone in different varieties. Often new profiles, which set the alarm bells ringing and then sometimes from the more seasoned users.
I can sort of understand why they insist on it, especially if it's a particularly attractive woman who's obviously getting 100s of messages.... having said that I wouldn't send my face pic in an opening message.
Read my message then read my profile, if there's an ounce of interest after that we can swap face pics. |

Exactly this, if they have face pictures then its acceptable to ask for one with a message. If no pictures, blank profile and demanding a picture with first message then move on.

I often think it's just stuck up women thriving off the attention that expect face pic in first message  ... Especially if they have no decent photos on their page.
I've messaged in response to winks, but these bitches are just time wasters with no intention of actually chatting/meeting. |

I don't demand a face pic but I do think it's important to exchange them early on. There's no point continuing if there's no attraction.
That works both ways. I'd hate to be a let down after a fair bit of chat.
