So life has been tough for us all lately and we are feeling sorry for ourselves but what is the toughest thing life has thrown at you? For me it was losing my dad and best friend within 12months of each other after they both lost their battle against cancer.

Losing my whole immediate family in the space of 8 years is pretty tough

I could write pages on things that have made my life tough but instead I choose not to dwell on those things. I keep on going. I have to.

When I lost my mum last year, I stopped to think, and it did me more harm than good. I realised that my auto pilot coping strategy was actually OK for me.

Life shapes you I dont believe we have had it tough.compare our situation to what others have been enduring for decades.

if anything it's been a clear reminder how soft and dependant we have become.

I've had many hardships going through a major one now I try to take what I can at these times I'm warm and have food in my belly I've no right to feel life is tough imo

I can’t even imagine how traumatised you would be. I’m guessing your profession... Horrendous for the poor soul’s family and yourself. Hopefully you were fully supported to receive the help you would have needed...

Gawd love! Yes, we absolutely need to stay positive. And when we stumble, a helping hand to get back up helps to keeps the positivity going... a virtual hug to you!

Very close to the four year anniversary of MrPf’s dad passing away. He could write a novel about losing his relatively young, best pal. But needless to say it was hard.

I'm good at talking to others about their feelings especially in a work setting but I'm terrible at practicing what I preach. It took me years to open up about depression

My dad passed last year and that was hard.after leaving school we worked together on and off for 30 years, had a great bond, miss him so much but count my blessings for the time we had.

Without a doubt the hardest thing iv ever had to do was sit my 13 and 14 yo boys down and tell them thier mum had died.and the last 5 years have been a struggle.but i can see a little chink of light for them as I watch them making thier way in the world ,enjoying thier life to the full, but It'll always be with a heavy heart that shes not here to see it
