Our system works by consent, people excepting the laws.
People need to be taken along with the legislature.
We all need to take responsibility for our actions without needing judge dread to scare us into submission. |

essential in major cities, and best for us all, ofcourse you will still get the idiots running wild, kids, gangs, and ofcourse people who think this does not effect them
I will be locking down, will walk the dog a good long walk in countryside, I can assist on farm but only if Lambing required |

So you would prefer the pubs open and rammed and queue's to the top of Snowdon?
The British public were given the chance to be sensible and they blew it.
BTW. Your restrictions are still lower than Italy, Spain, or France. |

Think they should have gone further, my company and many others that are not essential have still decided to carry on regardless, government needs to force them to close or they never will, wealth before health every time. |

Road just as busy here, loads of quarry wagons and car transporters going by, lots of builders still going but that will soon stop as most merchants shut. I'm still working and will continue to as we produce food. |

Indeed, thank god the government abandoned the ‘herd immunity’ approach to the crisis ? Do you still have that YouTube video |

I think covers it a bit.
Martial law is the imposition of direct military control of normal civilian functions by a government, especially in response to a temporary emergency such as invasion or major disaster, or in an occupied territory. |

Martial law, I don't think so. I haven't seen tanks and armed soldiers pointing guns at me yet!
You have been asked several times to social distance, improve your hygiene skills washing your hands, be thoughtful of others. That didn't work because the entitled, self centred crowd couldn't grasp the basics, and did what they wanted.
Now you have a few more restrictions, not really a full on lockdown, not as tough as Italy, France or Spain. Perhaps the police need to issue a few fines, for the reality check to sink in.
Just consider this, the French government are considering another 6 weeks that takes them into May with tight restrictions already being implemented, and probably more on the way.
