Sadiq Khan has temporarily removed the Congestion Charge and other restrictions within London to help NHS and key workers avoid being exposed on public transport. This will enable some to go to work in their cars without unneccesary charges and costing them money.
It is undoubtedly the right thing to do.
The concern, as always, will be the morons who abuse it and mean the charges are put back in place. |

What a good idea hopefully nobody will see it’s a great idea to take the family into central London for some sightseeing.
Now if he could only fix the tube situation. Can’t be good to have all those people squashed in.
How does he get round that one? |

In fairness to him, and I don't usually like his ideas, the tubes, buses and trains are really quiet. The packed tube picture, if accurate reporting, would have been the exception not the rule.
I've been told he is reducing services to protect people working on them, so if there is an outbreak there will be enough staff avaiable to keeps things running.
Seems sensible to me. |
