Yes, in the Virus forum. Or the Politics forum. One of the fun forums."
Ouch... got me, right there!
They're all too serious for this one she said. |

"Kind of feel Coronavirus is a get out of free card for the Brexit camp. If it's all tits up post Brexit just blame it on the virus. " That sounds like a typical snowflafe comment, so boring move on.

"Kind of feel Coronavirus is a get out of free card for the Brexit camp. If it's all tits up post Brexit just blame it on the virus. " Yes and they will blame how the pound is dropping like a stone on the virus whilst it was already on the decline before as uk is heading to a recession.

Exactly this.
A bit like blaming your house burning down on the person that walked past with the lit cigarette, despite you are stood there dousing the building in petrol.

Germany was pretty much also heading towards recession too I think you will find, and I doubt France would have been far behind.

If Boris Johnson pointed to some text on the side of the bus promising free marzipan for every Daily Mail reader. Coronovirus would win a referendum with a small majority. |

Stephen Barclay, Brexit Secretary, said yesterday when questioned about it that the Brexit timetable would remain place. What a fucking TOOL.
Boris had already said nobody is working on Brexit right now.
Talk about detached from reality! |

You can forget about Brexit for a few months, far more important issues to deal with. "
Is the Coronovirus worse for the UK than Brexit. Or just more pressing? |

Corona virus is definitely worse than brexit for the UK, and the whole world for matter, don't really see how you can even compare them together to be honest. |

"Corona virus is definitely worse than brexit for the UK, and the whole world for matter, don't really see how you can even compare them together to be honest. "
Very different beasts. But both very damaging.
One causes an indirect loss of life (through austerity) and one causes a much lower direct loss of life.
Both have a vastly negative impact on the UK economy. One only impacts the UK economy and one impacts the world economy.
Plus the timing. If the Coronovirus hit anytime post brexit referendum, then it's going to be part of the discussion. It is clearly impacting our reaction to the pandemic. And potentially impacting our ability to deal with it. |

Okay interesting. Especially the first part. I was genuinely asking the question before the trolls attacked.
As for the second part. Although your company may not have been impacted by brexit. Lots have, businesses have left these shores or closed down, it's cost the UK economy billions already, which can only exhaserbate austerity measures.
I don't know what will happen with the virus. I hope it passes as quickly as possible.
Brexit is inevitable though. |

Estimates came from the Institute for Public Policy Research.
And of course it's mostly before Brexit. But flushing £130 billion a year down the Brexit toilet is hardly going to help end austerity. (Bloomberg economics). |
