"17000 deaths on average yearly from flu in England Deaths in Scotland to date from corona 2 ! Am just not getting this nonsense "
130,000 deaths from Tory austerity. People actively wanted more and voted for it again.
What can you do eh! |

It's not nonsense I'm afraid. The virus has hardly begun, and there is no vaccine yet, unlike flu.
Do you honestly believe that government's the world over would be taking the measures they are unless it was absolutely necessary? Do you think that they are risking long term damage to businesses, and their economies, that could take years to recover from on a whim?
Try thinking exponential growth. Two deaths now will lead to four, then sixteen, then 64, then 128, etc etc. Simplistic yes, but that's roughly how this thing spreads. Most people will recover, but a lot won't, and that's what governments are worried about.
If we lock down, as most countries appear to be doing, then it can help slow the virus down and stop it overwhelming the NHS, which if this virus was left unchecked, would be crippled in a couple of months, with no capacity to treat strokes or heart attacks or anything.
If it can be contained long enough to prevent that scenario, then far fewer people will die, and those most at risk can all be treated if they catch it.
Nice cock btw.

No, they're unaccountable dodgy bastards who'll stop at nothing.
Still, this new virus has caused the world to turn away from the Hong Kong protests that were going on prior to it raising its ugly head.
Job done President Xi & Maj Gen Chen Wei, problem is you made it global. |

Also, hats off to China for ensuring it wasn't just their economy that would suffer, by keeping silent and not stopping international travel. I guess now they'll just be buying up the cheap shares of vulnerable companies. |

Never forget the Chinese doctor who first warned about coronavirus and was threatened, attacked, smeared, made to sign a confession, silenced, isolated and then died after being infected while trying to help others.
China did all of this. |

Blaming someone else seems to be the problem solution method nowadays, no need to proof your allegations just do the finger pointing and it will become true.
Will that be Boris excuse too when the British covid19 death rate soars? Will he get away with his herd immunisation by blaming China? |

I didn't say he has, I'm asking will this be his excuse for his relaxed covid19 approach when things go wrong?
Call it Boris bashing or whatever, are you guys in the UK aware that the rest of the world is stunned by the UK's covid19 strategy? |

There is a strong correlation between people who are getting a real hard on for blaming china for this to those who think Boris is great, who think Brexit is a good idea, and who don't understand climate change.
Do you lot read the same newspaper or browse the same websites? |

You have to remember that just because Corona originated in China, and was hushed up by the government, who then failed to act early enough to contain it, it doesn't make it China's fault. simple. And wet markets are fine because in this country people shoot pheasants. And they're mainly wealthy white people, so they're in many ways more to blame than China... |

No, it's not a coincidence. There is a reason for it and it's got to do animal welfare standards and basic hygiene but the exact cause of infections species hopping is not fully understood yet.

The racism against eastern asians has increased significantly.
Threads like this are what emboldens people to take shot at us thinking it a bit of fun. But actually it’s not fun at all, it’s what leads to the casual racism we’ve have to deal with since birth. |

Considering population in 2019 China had a population of 1,433,783,686 that's not including undocumented people born without identification never given a birth certificate due to historic limits on child allowances. Given change in law there are still undocumented people So the actual numbers are higher.
The higher the population and the density of cities it is ever likely that a high number of infections start there. Just the same with every city in the world they have increased populations. London has the most cases of the covid19 because it's more densely populated than the rest of the country. Infection numbers correlate to each of the cities. Where more cases of infection are seen on the map it shows they are cities and it will spread out.
What's next to come besides attacking people because of race is attacking people for having a sniffle or a cough. Where has people's compassion gone? A bit of panic and the sheeple become irrational, selfish and hateful. People are attacking each other over toilet roll the world has lost their minds. |

It's the usual suspects here attacking people because of their race, making casually racist comments about Chinese people etc.
Most decent people have remained decent. The compassionless morons have moved from bashing Muslims to bashing Chinese for a while. They're small minds will be moved to a new target at some point.
Meanwhile most people are taking this as an opportunity to help the less fortunate in society. Look at all the people helping eachother right now. There is hope. |

Interesting that Trump’s name for corona virus became ‘The Chinese. Irus’ with hours of China saying their first death was a US person visiting and tied it to a group of servicemen from the USA.
Deflection?
