I think it's harder to get Ibuprofen than it used to be.
I also think the UK Government may be about to find out how hard a bargain an organisation that has the economic clout to trade with the USA, China and Japan - as an equal - is able to drive.
I'm not sure Boris will be able to unite the country, either. To be fair, he doesn't have to. All he needs to do is get the English to stop slagging each other off and just keep ignoring the rest of us.
Which is all you have to be able to do, to run the UK. It's been that way since Culloden. |

Ironic. Negativity and a victim complex is what led us to Brexit - people seeing the EU as something separate and alien to us, rather than the reality that we were a major player with a big say. |

Why should we listen to people who have no clue what's going on?
Not every opinion is equal. My opinion on black hole physics is less valid than Brian Cox's.
Someone who understands the EU, how it works and what it does has a more valid opinion than someone who reads a Daily Express headline with the words "European Superstate" in it."
Sorry but if you dont believe that a european super state is the end goal then its you who has no idea of whats going on.
IF ALL states have a vote on that with an open honest discussion and the majority vote for it then fair enough but not the drip drip we have now to the end goal with no approval from the ordinary guy in the street.

The truth is that the average working class Brit (or middle class Brit, for that matter) has more in common with a Bulgarian plumber or an Italian small business owner than they will ever have in common with Jacob Rees-Mogg or Michael Ashcroft.
Only when that is realised and accepted will we realise what has gone on these past 4 years. |

Look, I'm not especially targeting you. But the general, let's vote ourselves into poverty because the ultra wealthy want us to and are scaring us with nonsense stories, thing, it's just silly.
Obviously the majority of people who rocked up the polling station on referendum day, voted leave. But let's not pretend it's because there is a real danger of there being an EU Superstate. It's purely because they believed one of the many different forms of anti EU propaganda.
In anycase. I don't see that an "EU superstate" is better, or worse than the way the EU currently exists. |

The bottom line is that we went into the EEC with everyone thinking it was about trade but as Ted Heath later admitted it was all about federalism and developing a single currency I wonder whether the vote to stay in back then would have gone the same way.
Some people prefer big powerful organisations and are happy with that, others prefer smaller set ups where they may get more say in things.
This is why there will never be agreement. |

You need to look a bit further back than that, it's called survival and even when that isnt needed it still surfaces, the only way to control the instinct is force and that never lasts long, open your history book and see the results, it's always been painful, if as I have said a u s of E is put to the vote in an open honest way then it might just have a chance the drip drip we have has none |

A longtime ago .One caveman clan joined another clan then clan joined many clans that became a tribe which joined many tribes which became a kingdom which becane a country which became a union of countries .We now now have trading blocs .Maybe one day we will have a federation of planets throughout the Milky Way.
We are a super organism.
Its the inevitable march forward.Only together can we achieve the impossible dreams and solve the bigger problems..

Not necessarily, tribalism is the natural exibition of protecting and promoting your own gene pool IE family and group, all species do this its why we evolved from the primeval swamp to the world we have today its why each generation should be slightly better than the last, of course with humans we now dont fight each other to push our genes these days. Predujice is different its a learnt thought process from watching and listening others in your peer group.
There is always a debate on whether stuff is nature or nuture, we ALL have predujices, you have one against your dad by saying what you did, for some its football teams, NO one likes everything and everybody, often its those that claim not to be bigoted that are in fact among the worse as they dont allow others to have different views to their own and call them racist,sexist etc etc. |
