It’s not unreasonable to assume that if trump hadn’t order the assassination then Iran wouldn’t be on a war footing and all those people aboard that plane would still be alive .
It’s the unintended consequences of his actions and those of the Iranians.
Generally the person who swings the first punch is considered responsible.Blaming trump or Iran won’t bring back those people.

And said the US must take part of the blame . And also said the plane flew close to a sensitive Revolutionary Guards base which is of course bollocks. How many years has Tehran airport been there ?. The jet was taking off - same routine for all other flights . It takes off and gains altitude in a straight line as shown by various flight stats websites such as Flightradar24. It gets hit. It then turns to the right to try to loop back. |

I suppose in a way you can say that Trump is responsible.
If he hadn't taken out the Iranian general, then Iran wouldn't have launched the missile strike (this time anyway) which in turn would have meant that the Iranians wouldn't have had the itchy trigger finger.
But, and it's a bloody big BUT, what if Trump hadn't taken the action and Iran WAS planning to attack US embassy's, and a large number of Americans had been killed. Then what?
Would Trump have been pilloried for having the information and taking no action?
Oh and come on. The Iranians keep telling the world how sophisticated and powerful they are. Yet they can't distinguish between a US bomber and a civilian airliner that took off only 3 minutes earlier from their own airport. |

I have a friend who is Iranian (married to an English man) who is an orthodontist, and one of the people who was killed on that flight is the neice of a friend of theirs who she was at dental school with. They had just been to Iran for the wedding of a couple who were also on the flight. They were doing normal human things when they were killed by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards responding to what they thought would be an american cruise missile strike as seen in Iraq and Kuwait.This came two days after the killing of their senior general by the USA so its hardly surprising that they were skittish and trigger happy. The flight should have remained grounded at Tehran airport to prevent this happening but as it had been due to leave some hours earlier you have to ask yourselves what provoked this act? The Donalds actions in killing that Iranian general (who was not a good man) are the finger on the trigger for all this. |

None of them questions are relevant.
The questions are:
Is the Army of Iran a legitimate Army? The answer is Yes.
Do the people of Iran have the capability of changing the regime in power if they really wanted to?
The answer is Yes.
So the statment then becomes America attacked the Iranian army directly which caused them to fire missiles in defence and turn on their air defence system that shot down a civillian plane.
Domestic policies dont matter for the following reason.
Iran has death penalty - America has death penalty.

None of them questions are relevant.
The questions are:
Is the Army of Iran a legitimate Army? The answer is Yes.
Do the people of Iran have the capability of changing the regime in power if they really wanted to?
The answer is Yes.
So the statment then becomes America attacked the Iranian army directly which caused them to fire missiles in defence and turn on their air defence system that shot down a civillian plane.
Domestic policies dont matter for the following reason.
Iran has death penalty - America has death penalty.

That took off at a speed of something like 150 mph and gradually and slowly GAINED altitude in a direction that was clearly LEAVING Iranian airspace . In an almost identical way dozens and dozens of other similar way other cruise missiles had done so in the 5 days following the US strike in Iraq almost 1000 km away. Normally , cruise missile would be travelling at about 600 mph , would be entering a countries airspace, and descending towards a target. Air defences , radar identifies such threats . My mobile phone has a couple of free apps which show speed, direction, type of planes. Yet a sophisticated air defence system mistook a slow moving jet, heading upwards and out of the country with a fast moving missile heading downwards into the country. And some people sympathise with this explanation,? And also believe that the Iranian arrest of the US ambassador a few hours ago was for inciting a political demonstration ??????. |

The Iranian report says that 1 soldier had 10 seconds to take a decision on firing, requested confirmation and didn't get it but shot the missile to the plane. If that's true, it was a mistaken poor decision, probably taken by someone with less data than we have, at a point of high stress in their country. It was obviously the wrong decision to take, based on the cold facts that it was a olane, flying differently to a missiles speed etc and on a flight path used by civilian airlines. I'm guessing that he may face the death penalty, as a token punishment. No winners.
Would this have happened without the USA assassination? I don't think so. Is the west now a safer place? I don't think so, in fact the opposite. |

That is typical tactic. When evidence is clearly showing that Iran shot down the civilian plane, then there is no point to accuse US only for that. It becomes too ridiculous. In this situation 'both sides' tactic comes to the game, still US must share the guilt. |

His defence secretary went on Fox News and said sanctions are working so well that Iran will soon come to the negotiating table.
Trump responded by saying he "couldn't care less" if Iran wants to negotiate.
Which begs the question - what are you trying to achieve then?
You had an agreement that contained Iran's nuclear programme.
Now you do not.
You say you don't want Iran to get a bomb.
That means you need an agreement.

Yes, he treats allies as if they were enemies, and enemies as if they were allies.
(Except in the case of Iran, which is Israel's enemy and therefore also Trump's enemy. He is a great admirer of Israel.)
And then he berates his erstwhile allies when they no longer feel inclined to kiss his arse.
He is an aberration in US relations with the world, but I cannot tell if this is temporary or permanent.

This is terrible, surely that would be a better impeachment case and trial, fifteen years of tax evasion. I'm sure the IRS are on to it. Terrible business this 45th president, everyday must be like living a nightmare under his presidency, nothing positive is happening at all, all really terrible stuff. I can't imagine how he was democratically elected. However, some people, somewhere, did vote for him.

Trump is possibly the most scrutinised president ever in US history.
Trump is also accused of trying to start any number of conflicts/WW3.
When in fact his predecessor dropped tonnes of ordnance on middle eastern countries, acted out regime changes and assasination of terrorists in foreign lands without permission from the countries concerned. That president gets a pass for his actions and a Nobel peace prize.

Manafort is serving the longest term of seven and a half years. Cohen is serving three years Stone is yet to be sentenced. A few have lenient sentences because of helping ongoing investigations. The others had days or months and are free men. That is not all of Trumps campaign team, allies or aides as you keep stating. |
