"Looks like the tories are rolling back on internal investigation into islamaphobia. 6 days after the election. What other promises will topple next? "
I don't know why they bother. Who gives a fuck what they do or say? People vote for them regardless. |

If you have ever read Spiked it is a forum with a diverse range of opinions, theories, articles and papers on as many subjects as you care to mention. Whilst some topics may be author opinion, most I'd suggest are aimed at challenging notion.
It is as far from a right wing platform as you can get. It's a long time since I read it but I think it's subheading had socialist in it somewhere. |

Islamophobia is the fear, hatred of, or prejudice against them, which one are you?
Do you fear them, hate them? or do you just have a preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience? |

Phobia is an irrational fear of something.
I've no doubt there is fear amongst many people of Islamic terrorism.
For many, that manifests itself as general fear of the muslim religion, i.e. Islamophobia.
I've no doubt it played a part in the GE outcome.
Corbyn is anti-Establishment, which creates a perception of being sympathetic to causes hostile to the British state.
The perception of Islamophobia in the Conservative Party probably didn't do Johnson any harm. Quite the opposite. It probably chimed with majority opinion.
The perception of anti-Semitism in the Labour Party probably did do Corbyn harm, for the simple reason there is no evidence of Jewish extremists wanting to murder citizens on British streets.

Islamophobia, Antisemitism, racism are all forms of prejudice which assume the nature of a person based on their appearance or culture.
Condemning one form of intolerance whilst practising another is just being a hypocrite.
Well done to those who display open hatred towards Muslims. There is an extremist out there currently radicalising their youth and you've just made his job SO much easier. |

Lets get this straight. We're English and we are perfect.
We hate the Nazi's because they put people in concentration camps, despite the fact that Lord Kitchener invented them years before, killing women & children.
We hate the racists although so much of our wealth was created through the slave trade.
We hate immigration although we over ran so many nations with 'colonisation'.
We hate foreigners even though so many of our expats live all over the world in other people's countries.
We criticize other countries on their human rights violations when it wasn't so long ago that we ourselves had homosexuality outlawed.
We mock the American right wing when we have our own home grown brand flourishing under our noses.
We as swingers expect to be accepted for our sexual choices but even within our community have sickening views on others orientations.
But hey. It isn't easy being so damned perfect! |

I am no one to judge others. But yes it's refreshing to have some honesty for a change but at the same time the fact that people now think it's OK to be openly Islamophobic is scary. We're at the same point in German history where Jews had to wear 'Jude' on their clothes.
Miss C had a scarf over her head a while back because her head was cold and as she walked past a pub someone called out 'fucking Muslim'. For a second she got to feel what it's like.

Yeah that's also true. In times like these it's important for good people to speak up and call out bigotry, not just with the likes of the resident morons here (as fun as it is), but when we see it in real life. As in your example. I hope Miss C is okay.

Yeah she was shocked at first but thought it was funny later.
Two years ago I was hit with the norovirus. I came close to death but made the mistake of opening my mouth at the clinic. After hearing my accent we were thrown out. The clinic was empty. Not one person in it. The nurse spoke to Miss C like she was a stupid child "How long have you been here?" Miss C was born here. Again she got a taste of home grown xenophobia. I am a British citizen born outside the UK but often get asked how often I "go home". |

Anecdotal, yes, but I get the impression there is a spike in the incidence of minorities being picked on since the GE election result, just as there was after the 2016 referendum result.
"Taking back our country" means different things to different people.

Well I have just renewed my British passport meaning I have been in the UK for 10 years. I've never had someone actually attack me, until the run up to the election. It was funny on two fronts. First being that I was told to go back to my 'own country'. Already here mate. Second thinking he was going to beat the crap out of me |

If anyone want to go to the Spiked website where he wrote the article. They have just published an editorial on it. Here is an extract:
Singh’s neutrality [is] in question’ over his comments on Spiked that the Kashmir conflict is ‘not [a] Muslim-only tragedy’. Read that again. Let it sink in. Singh is being demonised and insulted online because he said that not only Muslims have suffered in Kashmir.
As said Spiked is an alternative journal, a sometimes philosophical approach, challenging modern social issues and spheres of thinking. |

As for fearing Islam then dammed right I do, which religion doesn't seek unwanted influence or expansionism?.
We curtailed religious influence in the West many years ago and for the better, those that seek to undue should be everybody's enemy, especially you lot!!!. |

To quote one of my "weak minded bigoted moronic" heroes.
It’s coming to a place near you.
The Qurans that are given out in our prison system, to Muslim prisoners by Muslim chaplains, paid for by Saudi Arabia, are Qurans written to the Wahabi tune. They’re not just your everyday Quran; they’re the Qurans that the Wahabis want you to read, containing direct incitement.
They’re being given out with taxpayers’ money in the prison system, where militias are forming. Next you’ll have militias of this kind with their own chaplains within the United States armed forces. Are you ready for that? Are you ready to have Wahabi preachers in the U.S. armed forces?
You better get ready for it, unless you’re going to take the James Madison view that there shouldn’t be any chaplains in the U.S. armed forces to begin with, or in the prison system. People want to pray, you can’t stop them. But we cannot have state subsidized prayer. We cannot have state subsidized preachers or chaplains.
Give it up, or give it to your deadliest enemy and pay for the rope that will ch@ke you.
This is very urgent business, ladies and gentlemen, I beseech you: resist it while you still can and before the right to complain is taken away from you, which is the next thing.
You will be told, you can’t complain – because you’re Islamophobic. The term is already being introduced into the culture, as if it’s an accusation of race hatred or bigotry, whereas it’s only the objection to the preachings of a very extreme and absolutist religion.
Watch out for these symptoms… The barbarians never take a city until someone holds the gates open to them. And it’s your own multicultural authorities who will do it for you.”

Well I'm all for judging a person by the content of their character (rather than religion or akin colour). And am happy to be called out for name calling.
Although I would argue that in this context they're more descriptive terms than insulting. |

I recall a piece of work carried out in Amsterdam.
Violent passages were read out and people on the street were asked where they came from - the Bible or the Koran.
Without exception, people said the Koran.
Without exception, they were from the Bible.
The problem isn't religion per se, it's those preachers of hate who latch onto specific texts to justify their extreme political ideology.
That was as a true for the Bible throughout history as it is today for the Koran.
Then there are those who are susceptible to these interpretations, who find inspiration as a means of escaping whatever misery is engulfing their hum-drum existence.
I like to think most people in the 1970s and 1980s were able to distinguish between Irish criminals and Irish citizens, and I'd like to think most people today can distinguish between muslim criminals and muslim citizens.

This isn't about bombers, this about those that seek to teach their children known bigotry and wickedness because God said so, not because they find it distasteful or wrong but because God says punish the infidels.
We've already started on the inroads, you can get absolved of handling alcohol if you work for aldi, no ham products in Tesco, you get time out for preying to Mecca, no no no, you can do it on your own time, if you can't work in a school without/with a cross delete as applicable your in the wrong country.
There's neighborhoods in the UK right now being patrolled by Islamists who are firmly telling UK citizens what they can drink and what they can wear and who they can hold hands with and it's not happening on my watch.
So you whataboutery lot can do one. |

I think "Islamaphobia" is a bit of a misnomer.
A phobia is an irrational fear of something.
When the followers of a religion fly aeroplanes into buildings, decapitate journalists and aid workers, stab people to death on the streets of London, drive trucks into crowds in Berlin and Barcelona, shoot hundreds to death in Paris Etc. Etc. All in the name of that religion. Then to be fearful of that religion is not a phobia.
That isn't saying that all followers of Islam are terrorists but none of them have good and bad stamped on their forehead. So to be fearful (cautious maybe) is quite rational. |

Fear.
That's what you articulate.
A free society includes the freedom to practise religion, or not.
Are you arguing for the removal of people's freedom to choose their own religion?

You've obviously not read anything I wrote, in your own time and on your own property you can practice whatever witchcraft mumbojumbo hocus pocus you choose, that doesn't mean that in decent secular society we the sane should bend over and take it up the ass just so your feelings aren't hurt.
Freedom to practice means freedom to ridicule freedom to criticise and freedom to tell you to fuck off your in works time, if really really can't handle ham, this job ain't for you. |

Please define a bigot. What is bigotry?
Maybe it's a frozen carrot! The mystery is starting to clear up!

Where is near Waco Texas?
Where is Ruby Ridge?
How many Islamic Extremists were involved?
Who was Charles Whitman? John Wilkes Booth?
Who is threatening RIGHT NOW gun violence if Trump gets kicked out of office? Republicans.

Let’s get one thing straight, The tories have won, they dictate the talking points now. So this issue will be swept under the carpet and forgotten.
To be honest, Islamaphobia is now backed by this government, which is fine for many people, because as long as they are not the target why should it worry for?
Am I right? |

So I'm applying the same logic used here to David Koresh.
This Christian Extremist was responsible for 24 British lives near Waco Texas. Therefore painting all Christians with the same brush we shall expel them from our lands forwith.
What? You're not a Christian? Well you sure look Christian to me mate so you get on the boat first and I'll get in after you... |

The lunacy on this thread is just bizarre - so a little knowledge about wahabi makes you think all Muslims are devils?
Ffs no wonder the world is in the terrible state it is in when World Powers have been fucking the middle east up since the second world war at least. Do yourself a favour and watch the film about the Syrian doctor and his wife trying too keep fellow human beings alive while having the shit bombed out of their homes and hospitals by russian backed Syrian forces. All muslims and all seriously brave and good people with more guts than you and your fat-headed ranting on a sex site will ever have. Muppet |

Perhaps I don't fully understand what a bigot is. |

So here's the thing. If a guy wants to have a rant and get things off his chest, I'll listen. But if someone is just cut and pasting someone else's rant he could at least have the decency to leave the quotation marks off the end. |

Miss C had a scarf over her head a while back because her head was cold and as she walked past a pub someone called out 'fucking Muslim'. For a second she got to feel what it's like.
Second thinking he was going to beat the crap out of me "
Im sorry to read this and what miss C experienced.
I've seen bigotry displayed in others and hope examples like this don't get worse.

Yes, because it chimes with the people who voted for them. The People's Government.
Now endorsed by people like Tommy Robinson, Katie Hopkins and Britain First on Twitter.

The Wahhabis are the power behind the throne of Saudi Arabia.
Very strict teaching, the midwife of Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan.
The Saudi Royal Family governs with their consent.
Radical conservative.
15/20 of the 9/11 bombers were Saudi citizens.
And still we sell them our best bombs and aeroplanes.

"Looks like the tories are rolling back on internal investigation into islamaphobia. 6 days after the election. What other promises will topple next?
As long as they deliver the Brexit, no one really cares about anything else.
"
Except that more people voted for parties that weren't aiming for the Johnson brexit. And his brexit may not be the one that others expect or want. Even conservative voters included remainers.
Allowing any form of brexit, without proper scrutiny, isn't going to be the panacea that some would like.
The cons get away largely free from probing evaluation, with a media that largely is extremely right wing and the BBC which typically parrots the conservative soundbites, as their unofficial mouthpiece and propaganda machine. The Islamaphobia and other prejudices within the cons are silently cultivated within the country, supporting citizens to target their unhappiness against. Classic smoke and mirrors but very dangerous for all, including those recipients of the hatred.
It's such a weak and pathetic mind that operates this way. |

How about I get hold of Rugby Does MFM and ask her to look at the threads of the latst momth and give a forum ban for anyone who has broken forum rules. I'll probably be the first to go but if it forces us all to behave maybe its a good thing.
In the forum rules you are not allowed to get personal. That's most of us most of the time.
Secondly you do not hang out dirty laundry. The political channel is dirty laundry central.
What do you people say to this suggestion? |

"I think "Islamaphobia" is a bit of a misnomer.
So to be fearful (cautious maybe) is quite rational."
Are you generalising by any chance?
By your logic, all minorities should be fearful or cautious of all "native" British people.
Is that what you mean? |

Who cares I'm islamaphobic and so is most of the country, I guess your for dogma, doctrine, blasphemy and religious law?.
Islamophobia is the fear, hatred of, or prejudice against them, which one are you?
Do you fear them, hate them? or do you just have a preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience? .
No it's not, it's a made up word by the Muslim council in New York 15 years ago, it's designed to shut down those that wish to mock and criticise Islam a man made religion of which some say is the shittest idea ever dreamt up."

We curtailed religious influence in the West many years ago and for the better, those that seek to undue should be everybody's enemy, especially you lot!!!."
You think religious influence was deliberately curtailed?
It took a World War or two and mass slaughter for society to change of its own accord.
That self-regarding attitude of Western superiority would be amusing if it weren't so corrosive.
Islam was historically far more liberal than Christianity until it was no longer in the ascendancy.
The intolerance of Western society both religious and secular today is hardly something to celebrate, as you are so ably demonstrating |

"To quote one of my "weak minded bigoted moronic" heroes.
"
An excellently researched piece as ever
Sources? Which particular YouTube clip or conspiracy site?
As soon as you are asked you have another little tantrum or change the subject.
I shall assume the same behaviour once again, but perhaps I'll be surprised
Anyone can and should complain about and confront extremism when they find it. However, they shouldn't exaggerte it's extent or just repeat half truths or lies. That would make them prejudiced. |

"This isn't about bombers, this about those that seek to teach their children known bigotry and wickedness because God said so, not because they find it distasteful or wrong but because God says punish the infidels.
What are your sources for these patrols?

That’s totally stupid!
People! If we were fearful of everything that could happen we would stay in our houses not daring to go out for fear that something might happen to us.
If you want to live your life like that so be it.
