HISTORY OF THE UK 2019 TO 2029
It was all quiet till march 2021 when the withdrawal form the EU is completed and a free trade deal is negotiated. At the same time a FTD is negotiated with the US but these two deals conflict on some of the regulations that need to be adhered to to allow the FTD to take place.
Parliament is split in two about which trade deal to go for and has the bright idea to ask the people in a referendum.
That was the start of the end of civilisation in the UK. Gangs took to the streets in small scale skirmishes which quickly escalated and the army was deployed to the streets in the winter of 2021 just 2 years after a landslide tory victory in the 2019 GE.
Martial Law was declared in the summer of 2022 and the government overthrown buy the military commanded by King Charles and his Generals William and Harry.
After this the UK retreated into an even smaller entity with more and more mistrust of anyone not born in the UK.
By the summer of 2025 the economy was in a complete downward spiral with runaway inflation and £1 buying €0.05 and $0.01.
I could go on but getting bored now

What happened was a rebirth of nationalism in England that's been repressed since 2016.
NI and SCO wanted nothing to do with it.
So now UK is split three ways.
The Balkanisation of Britain begins.
