Historically, I believe the Jewish vote in the UK closely aligned with Labour, just as the Catholic vote in Scotland aligned with Labour.

If he is saying the Jewish vote has turned its back on Labour, presumably because of concerns about anti-semitism, he's probably right.

But he can very clumsy with his language.

To even suggest, no matter how clumsy the actual wording was, that labour did not do well because of the Jews is all the proof you need about anti semitism in labour. Why say anything about the Jews and how they voted ?. Why ?

.

I've no idea, politics has always been bitter but recently there seems to be this parting shot by the losers instead of thanks supporters and good luck winners we get speeches like that idiot Jo swinson.

Err because people like you stirred up the anti-semitism aspect and many naturally liberal Jewish voters felt that with all the white noise then there must be some truth in it? Oh let’s be honest now, the problems with Islamophobia in the Tory party will always be ignored because they are viewed as foreign and because of terrible actions like the London Bridge murders. You can get on your high horse if you like but nobody with a heart is listening to you.

Comparing Islamaphobia to a terrorist act, in justifying antisemitism in a party shows just how rotten some head-in-the-sand Labourites are.

If you cant tell that our Belfast boy likes to be as obnoxious and antagonistic as he is 99.9 percent of the time then you need to get your head out of the hole you have evidently got it stuck in and answer the question. I do not now and never will defend any sort of religious or racial hatred but I do like fairness, so if one side is covering up their own sins while calling out the other side I think its only fair to ask the question that none of you appear to be willing to look at.

My remembrance of Ken Livivgstons remarks is they were NOT anti-semitic. He merely stated the historic fact that a meeting occurred between Adolf Hitler and the Grand Mufti of Palestine in which the issue of high levels of Jewish migration to Palestine from Germany was discussed between the two. A mere statement of true fact that has been twisted by vested interests to further their own ends (whatever they may be) to denigrate Livingston..

The White noise is what people do when they appropriate an issue and turn it to their own ends.

If you are Jewish then you have every right to feel indignant and to repudiate intolerance hatred bigotry anti-semitism and I would applaud you for it.

If on the other hand you are using a terrible situation like Belfast boy does to stoke up the flames of righteous anger then it makes me wonder why you cannot answer the question about Islamophobia?

Does it not count when compared to anyi-semitism?

When I hear people like you happily throwing around accusations without a shred of evidence and yes I am talking about your gutter level response to my post then I think heres the linf of person who would happily have burned witches because they thought it was a good way of bringing their clan/tribe/country together in common cause.

Shall I explain to you why calling a liberal person anti-semitic is bad? To my mind it carries the same weight for them as calling someone a child mol***er because it doesn’t matter what they say or how true or false the accusation is they will always be tainted by that prejudice and will never be able to clear their name of the festering accusation. 400 or so years ago they were burning witches for less

This whole election campaign has been built on lies and hatred and seen a lot of good and honest people on all sides driven out of politics and if you want to carry on the hating thats your business but personally I have better more positive things to do than listen to any more of your white noise.

He is so clumsy with his language I am left to wonder.

London has a long history of anti-semitism.

The Jews fleeing persecution in Eastern Europe in 1890s and 1900s settled in London East End and faced huge hostility.

MPs joined marches demanding their expulsion.

Fast forward to the 1930s, and the Cable Street clash, the London media's unwavering support for Hitler, the popular backlash against immigration of Jews fleeing persecution in central Europe.

Look up the Daily Mail and Daily Express of the 1930s if you want to discover anti-semitism.

Read the books of the journalists who say their accounts from Berlin were censored by news editors in London who did want to create the "wrong impression" of Mr Hitler.

London has form with this.

According to Benjamin Netenyahu

In 2015 , Hitler had no problem with Jews &

just wanted to expel them .

It was only when he spoke to the grand mufti, Haj Amin al-Husseini, had protested to Hitler that “they’ll all come here,” referring to Palestine.

" what should i do said Hitler ?

Burn them said the mufti .

Hitler made terrible speeches in the 1920s about Jews.

The press in UK and US excused him.

After the Enabling Act of 1933, which basically transferred all power from the Parliament to the Chancellory, Hitler re-invented himself as a zionist.

"I believe in a homeland in Palestine. You should go there."

Nothing to see here, said the press.

Of course, no-one knew what was about to follow.

But all the warning signs had been there.

Livingstone's claim Hitler was a zionist, in one sense, is true.

He pretended for a year.

But to assert this with the hindsight of what followed is despicable.

in 2019, thanks to social media, we know Donald Trump is a racist.

In 2019, thanks to social media, we know all the flows of Johnson.

Whatever they say publicly, the evidence is before our eyes.

It wasn't then.

The media filtered it out.
