"Is he popular?
Apparently his approval ratings are dismal."
the candidate doesn't have to be liked... they just have to be less polarised that clinton was...
trump is not going to win any states in 2020 that he didn't win in 2016...
if they are less polarising the dem will win pennsylvania, michigan, and wisconsin... and that will be enough regardless of anything else! (north carolina, florida, ohio, arizona will all be in play just in case ect ect ect) |

"I haven't heard of any Democrat candidate fronting any campaign if you can call it that. Though with the pending impeachment who knows if he'll be standing. "
To be impeached two thirds need to vote on favour. With Republicans in majority that is never going to happen. |

I’ve had it with Trump and America. Fed up with the one sided ‘special relationship’ and how our politicians fawn over whoever is in charge over there.
Time to claim it back I think. Let’s invade America - we will have the element of surprise. |

Maybe thats Dominic Cummings secret plan? I am sure Boris would enjoy all those frat house toga parties - he is quite partial to a quick yank after all |

It's crazy to think he might be re-elected. Then again, it was crazy he was elected in the 1st place.
I think it's unlikely he'll get back in. But if the Democrats again run a candidate like Clinton, it's far from impossible he'd win. |

If the impeachment doesn't stick, he stands a fairly good chance of getting in again. A failure to impeach will give him a ton of ammunition to use against the democrats and paint them as out to "get" the president and by extension make them out as anti American. |

It is ridiculous to imagine him not being impeached, isn't it? But Republicans will put party before the good of the country almost all the time. The Tories act the same way here. |

Clinton didn't make an ass of himself on every possible occasion.
There is still a question mark over whether Trump got more votes the first time. |

Erm, Clinton was re elected in late 96. But he wasn’t impeached until Dec 98. He was re elected way b4 the lewinsky/ impeachment stuff. |

Love him or hate him he's got something no democrat has and that's the X factor.
The ONLY candidate who can beat him is tulsi gabard and she's fighting the democrats and trump.
It's almost laughable |

"He won't be impeached and he'll get reelected on a landslide.
You can take that to the bookies.
"
With his environmental views I wouldn't be surprised. Landslide, mudslide, earthquake, tsunami...... |

Maybe he will just take America by storm
I mean think about it. They waited for Trump to be president before they had their centenary. What a guy! |

"I’m looking forward to watching the Young Turks meltdown if he does.
The 2016 Election night clip of them losing their shit is tasty. "
I think the Young Turks are absolutely brilliant.
Nothing is funnier than watching their interviews of Trump supporters and discovering that they know less about American politics than I do. |

Why do I love Young Turks? They call out all the bullshit from Fox News. What does Fox News have to do with us you ask?
It's the same behaviour, the same lies, the same tactics the other side of the pond and would you know it. The same person at the root of it. |
