Something that puzzles me...

It seems Labour, Lib Dems and the Greens all despise the Tories. Yet why can't they unite to defeat them?

They all seem to want a bigger state, higher taxes, more immigration, more political correctness and so on.

As a Tory it's always baffled me.

Because they want different things or they have different ideas on how to get to the policies they do agree on

I can't believe the differences between the parties are bigger than their shared dislike of the Tories?

Costa Blanca Spain...

If anything it will probably go the other way.

After Corbyn's Labour get trounced next week the party will either ditch him in favour of a Blairite leader (which I doubt) or will split like in the 80's when the SDP was formed.

Don't be too sure. Do not assume anything and make sure you get your vote in for whoever you support.

A Home Among The Woodland Creatures

something that puzzles me is that if today you were someone who campaigned to stay in the EU, signed negotiated multiple treaties with them, campaigned for freedom of movement, increased immigration, negotiated with the IRA and supported numerous dictators around the world, you'd be called a dangerous marxist.

But in the 70s and 80s you'd just be called Margaret Thatcher
